    If I saw a woman in her pyjamas, slippers & dressing gown walking to her next door neighbours with a glass of wine or cider in hand, I wouldn't be offended but what I would feel is.....well, I don't think I can post it here.

    Same Pollycat. I have got my views and opinions about women who do this too.

    But I will also keep them to myself. :cool:
    You didn't, did you? :rotfl::rotfl:

    If you wish to do it, it's up to you.

    Personally, I wouldn't step out of the house until I was dressed - and I don't mean in pyjamas, dressing gown and slippers.

    .

    Of course! It was a kinda tongue in cheek comment! I do that all the time. It's my own back garden where the only people who can see me are the next door neighbours.

    I don't think anything like that is bad at all, nor do I think popping next door to your neighbour who happens to be a very close friend/relative is bad either. Well, maybe in the middle of the day it is, but at night, early morning, no.

    What I don't agree with is actually going "out" in them say down to Spar, School, Supermarket etc.

    But not always in the comfort of your own home......

    Not always my own home, no. SIL lives in the adjoining semi-detached house and is the only person I'd visit in my dressing gown. There's a big rosebush between the front doors which is the only reason we have to walk around in view of the neighbours - who thankfully think of us as lovely people and have never threatened social services because we occasionally visit family next door, in jammies at 9pm on the weekend after work. I don't specifically change into jammies to drink (or any other social activity), it's a matter of circumstance.

    I can understand that posts on an internet forum don't always give a great or accurate impression, but I invite you to be honest about how you'd feel because I'll have a good giggle about it later :)

    What I found most shocking was that parents were turning up at parent's evenings and daytime events in PJs, which suggests that they haven't even got dressed during the day. In which case, !!!!!! are they doing all day? It's a basic part of being a fully functioning adult to get yourself out of bed, get dressed and go and do something useful. They only excuses are being really ill, really old or having a new born baby (new mothers can count actually managing to get dressed befor midday as a triumph :))

    I don't think I really agree with this.

    There are many days when I only go out of the house to walk the dogs - if I didn't have them I might only go out a couple of times a week. I'm neither really old nor really ill but I don't think that you need to leave your home for no good reason just to be considered a "fully functional adult" (whatever that is).

    Yes, I think there's a difference between what you do on your own property - in the garden, putting the rubbish out, getting the post - and what you do when you step out into the public world.

    I have just seen a woman in Asda shopping in pyjamas, dressing gown, slippers, hair wrapped in a towel and a face mask on. Middle of the day, broad daylight.
    Seriously, why would you????
    Security told another customer who commented that the store had no rules against it.
