  • We are at that mid month quiet time too, and it feels like nothings moving, i am trying not to wish away the days!

I said the same thing yesterday when commenting on how many days left until the weekend!

Yes mfd it has been lovely pony walking, I suspect a few people thought I was a bit strange walking a pony instead of a dog! I was stopped yesterday and asked if she had escaped and I was retrieving her. The dog has joined me too, so killing two birds with one stone.

Fabulous meal planning! I find it hard enough to do a week!! I love the idea of seeing you walking your pony and dog, what a brill image! The light evenings make a massive difference, though we are getting a lot of rain down this way, boo April showers!!

  • Thanks Jodles :) yes I did get wet one evening and had soggy feet as wore trainers instead of boots.

I thought we had had enough rain already through the winter, but it just keeps coming! Fingers crossed it stays dry this weekend so I can get out and about.
Hubby has booked a table for us tonight at a restaurant, so looking forward to that. Going to check if there are any vouchers/offers in a minute. I really need to spend some time in the kitchen this weekend to make sure everything is as easy as possible next week. DD has requested the bacon & cheese turnovers and maybe some leek & potato soup too. I think it will still be cool enough for soup next week.

Have a good weekend everyone :)
  • Midway through the week already.

I didn't get much baking or food prep done at the weekend so struggling a bit now.

Interest has been paid on the 123 account, so £12 is now in the new savings column on my spreadsheet.

Not much money has come out of my account, but a couple of things will need to come out before the end of the month. I have a weekend of dog training to pay for and will need a few more bits of food. Hopefully this will leave a couple hundred to put aside at the end of the month :)
  • Forgot to mention, had an email through from BG with free chocolates offer, so filled that in yesterday too.

Love the pony walking. I used to take my very elderly child pony out walking on nice days. He enjoyed it so much. He was also better behaved that most of the neighbourhood dogs!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
  • I think the ponies are definitely enjoying it Watty! I got several awwwws of people whilst out today :)

Off on a road trip tomorrow with the dog, food has been purchased to take with us, not as MSE as making/baking, but definitely cheaper than motorway services or event catering!!
  • I'm worn out already this weekend!! It was a long day out yesterday though (and freezing cold!) so that probably doesn't help.

A very expensive day today as well, a trip for horse food which included a new chain for my chainsaw, a new top and coundnt resist the cake (oops) but will use for lunches next week.
Also paying for a weekend of dog training next weekend. That should be it until payday apart from a few bits of food, so still looking ok.

Another busy day tomorrow, a bit of work and meeting SHS for a bit of pony fun - very exciting :)

Found you :j very impressed that you have already paid your mortgage off. It sounds like you just need to find the right place now with the right sort of land for your horses. I would suggest looking at rubbish properties that can either be renovated or knocked down - old 1950s dorma bungalows seem to come on decent plots :rotfl:
  • Thank you for popping in BusyMee, yes something like that would be perfect. We don't mind roughing it either while we are doing up somewhere, so we are likely to consider most things really!!
