Well, we survived Christmas! I have spent today in 'dossing around the house' clothes and have no intention on visiting the sales (in person or on-line). I do not need anything nor does my little boy.

I was horrified to discover that my P@yP@l account had been hacked into and a sum of money taken this morning. Thankfully, they were ace and solved the problem fairly promptly and I have changed my passwords.

I did, however, have a small spend today and ordered some photographs to be printed. They should be here sometime next week. Oh, and I must book my car in for its MOT. It runs out soon so I must arrange this in the morning (and go to the PO)

    Tomorrow's jobs:
    1. PO
    2. Book MOT
    3. Try to get some more sales before going to the PO
    4. Bl00dy ironing!

I can't do 1 and 2 because it's another holiday and everywhere is closed LOL! Have already made two sales on an fb selling page and I am hoping for a few more before the end of the day.

still haven't done the bl00dy ironing!

Okay, my car is booked in for its MOT this Friday. I will drop it off first thing and walk the few miles back. The fresh air will do me good.

My next payday is in four weeks and I have £290 to last until then. That is loads! When I look at the figure on the screen it looks like a fortune but why does it trickle through my fingers?? I nearly crumbled last night. I saw a gorgeous cross-over apron on the T0ast website (it was an advert on the screen) and I really, really want one. I even put it in my basket but I resisted. If I still want it towards the end of this payday month and I have the pennies, I will treat myself.

I took my son for a walk in the woods earlier today and I reminded myself from when I was at my lowest. I must have owed around the 10k mark on a bank loan, credit cards and an overdraft. Possibly more. All maxed out. If I managed to crawl out of the other side on my own with little or no help, then I can become a savvy saver as well. I can do it. I know I can. I owe it myself and my son.

I have joined a few challenges as well but I am not sure how often to update them.

Right, I need to wrap up parcels, have a quick tidy up, prepare lunch and think about the ironing!

    dreaded ironing - check!
    PO - check!
    MOT - check!

My OH has gone out with his friends, my little one is fast asleep so I am going to do some work work before getting an early night.

I have woken up over the past few mornings feeling more positive than I have done for a long time. I am beginning to feel energised and full of hope for the future. I now have a plan and one that I shall do my utmost to stick to.

I have been really good and bought nothing for myself in the sales. I did buy my son a piece of summer clothing but that was done in person and not on-line. I have not gone bonkers like I normally do!

Today has been another NSD which brings the grand total to five this week. In all honesty, this is the most that I have had in the longest of times. I was going to get a takeaway for tea tonight but my OH didn't fancy one so I cobbled something together instead.

I am being rock n roll tonight, by finishing off some work work before getting an early night. I am sooooo tired!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow is the start of my save, save, save plan :):):)

I will stay out of my bl00dy overdraft!!!!

I went out last night for the first time in ages. I drew £30 out of the ATM to add to the fiver that I already had but two of the notes were new £5 notes so I couldn't spend them. I ended up spending far less than I would have normally done and had a much needed laugh and a giggle as well. Win win.

I am hoping for a few more fb sales today. Fingers crossed.

Finally, finally, finally the money that was pinched from my p@ypal account has been returned!! It was 'pending' for ages and I was starting to worry. Phew!

Last night wasn't a great night in terms of my toddler and sleep and in my sleep deprived state I ended up buying a magazine subscription. Eek! It was a mother earth meets mindfulness meets minimalism meets zero social media type of magazine. With any luck I shall learn to be calm and chilled and not give a f**k anymore!

Back to work tomorrow - boo!!!!! Oh that makes me feel so sad! I would love to be a SAHM and I really hope that I don't regret not being one when I am old(er) and grey(er). But, I have a mortgage to pay :(

Work is my biggest problem area as that is when I tend to lose control of my spending. I can't abide sandwiches that I have made myself and, when I do make them, I prefer to eat them then. Leaving them for a couple of hours isn't rock n roll because they never taste the same. I just don't know what to do about lunches. Before the holidays began, I did have things like spaghetti on toast and I got into the habit of buying ready meals because they meant that I had to actually stop, sit and eat as opposed to grab a quick bite and carry on. I dunno ... will have a look on p1interest for quick, no fuss lunch ideas.

    Anyhoo, goals for the week:
    1. Try and enjoy being at work.
    2. Keep on top of the laundry and housework.
    3. Exercise every day
    4. No wasting money!!!

I updated my signature this morning. I have done really well with my spending over the past two weeks. I haven't updated the 'save £12k in 2017' as I am saving that until the night before my next pay day. If I carry on as I am doing right now then the £1k that I moved over when I last got paid will still be there. If it does then it will be the first time in my entire life that I have saved £1,000 in one payday month.

Well, I have survived one week back at work. Only another five and I am off for a week. I soooo need to stop 'countdowning' my life!

My spending has been much more controlled this week but it hasn't been great. The amount that I transferred into a savings account when I was paid is still intact but I have had to dip into my buffer accounts a few times. I am keeping detailed notes on where my wages are going so, when we get to the day before payday (in ten days) I should be able to figure out what is going on.

The days are slowly starting to grow longer which makes me feel quite happy indeed. My CBT appointment will be here soon so I will be able to heal properly.

I will update my signature tomorrow when I update my challenges. My 100 days to save is looking very good but I am not updating my Save £12k in 2017 until the day before payday.
