Mumof2 that looks lovely, very neat.

Just back from work, had a phone call from dr who ,ensured mil up for a leg brace, she's getting her assistant to ring me later to make sure I'm at the next appt.

Really windy here I'm sure it's getting worse, no rain yet but I'm sure it's on its way.

Better go and do something. I suppose

  • Hi all, feeling a little grumpy. DS1 has just said that DH didnt go to work until about 11am this morning because he couldnt be bothered! Oh and there were pots in the sink, crumbs all over the worktops etc etc when I came home from work. No point in stressing as it wont make any difference and sitting here thinking will just make me feel worse.

Will see what I can get done off the list in the next hour before DS2 comes home.

Well I rang about the heating... threw a wobbly 'can you wait until tomorrow' .. 'yes, I can.. but I'm not going to because this has been 4-5 weeks of not working properly and I am REALLY annoyed... and cold.. and I have a cold'... 'ok, we will get someone out tonight' .... 'ty' .... my boiler only fires up when the thermostat is set to 28'C ... can't afford that!!! Dot is sat shivering and her lips are blue.. and I'm cold. When I got downstairs OH is sat on the chair with both girls and all 3 under a blanket!!

Blowing a gale here too.. be great if it wasn't raining too!!! I ay go bake a cake.. and get dinner in.. to warm myself up!

DD3 will hate me today too because she has her pit to clear when she gets in, the boiler is in her room.. she is a pig!

Pigpen - Yay to Pixie spending the night in her bed, boo to her trying to throw herself down the stairs!
Petula - Sorry to hear you're not well.
Mrs MP - I used to hate windy days when I worked in my daughters school. Even more so when it rained as well!
    CY - thinking of you.
Mumof2 - Love the hat. My knitting skills are nowhere near advanced enough to be doing that sort of thing :rotfl: I can knit squares, plain scarves and plain/2 tone stockings if I concentrate. I keep loosing my way when following patterns due to how much I get interrupted! :o

I've managed to catch up with yesterdays work, brought the bins round to the yarden, emptied the kitchen bins, dealt with the workmen, ran to school to drop calling cards in there, over to Mr Al, home to a phonecall from a customer who needed her stuff by 6pm so ran round to see her. Misc stew is cooking in the SC, no doubt DD will not be impressed with it but tough. I've finally used up the last tin of mixed beans that have been in the cupboard for nearly a year!

Plan for the rest of the night is to finish my coffee, shower, possibly finish stitching the new zip in my bag, eat, then go and make deliveries. I don't even know how many I have to do but I am glad to see there is only a very small chance of rain as opposed to the heavy rain they were forecasting :) I think after that it'll be home to collapse in a heap and a relatively early night since its been 1am for the past 2 nights and I'm shattered. Anything else will be a bonus!

Off list as usual today. Managed to get to gym last night and somehow dragged myself there this morning, so that is 2.5hrs to stick in MyFitnessPal......made the exciting discovery that you can import recipes from any web site and it works out the nutritional content for you! When I used the similar Tesc0 site years ago, you had to type in the ingredients one by one. You can also edit instantly e.g. replace butter with Fl0ra Light or whatever, and it will adjust the calories etc. Sorry if you all knew that or have no interest.

    Went to library.
Went to Tesc0 as it is opposite library and on the way home-ish from the gym.
Put various items away from various rooms.
Caught up with emails; seem to be never ending, but at least I had the welcome news that the calculated tax rebate has been confirmed.

Howling gale here, I had a long lunch in the conservatory with a book after the exertions of gym and shopping, and everything was rattling.

    Report writing next.

Quick rush around and I got the kitchen straight and all task done except for wiping the dining room chairs.

Only extra done today was changing the front door mat (the old one was getting disgusting and no amount of shaking would get it clean) and cleaning round the porch to get rid of the cobwebs.
Right, on to dinner time now...
    Trying to keep in budget.
