Munmyroysof3- I really feel for you. I hate dentist with a passion. I struggle to hold it together for the kids appointments. I put on a brave face for them ad I don't want to influence them! They love the dentist! I know I need at least two fillings but using the pregnancy card as I know they could only do a temporary at the moment. After baby is here I must make an appointment but I fear it could be worse than a filling. I had to have double root canal a few years ago and ended up going private as my dentist at the time was just awful! So I understand how you feel. Sending you calming vibes.

Mumof2- that is. absolutely gorgeous. Well done you!

Narco- well done on all the fitness! Is it having the desired effect? Are you doing regular weigh ins to see progress? I'm quite sad and like the little graphs!

I finished my work and emailed it off so I can now officially forget about work! Car came back from mot so I decided to clear it out nd go and get it cleaned. Looks lovely now and I wouldn't be embarrassed to offer anyone a lift! I will do the other car at the weekend!

Thanks for all the lovely comments about my knitting! It's a bit huge but I've followed Pigpen's advice and copied this picture from Facebook which shows where I'm up to now.

    12540650_1126428784047996_1330113433141170366_n.jpg?oh=608d6e9eaf2f349a29177e89c2980399&oe=574924F3

Flying wise, I filled a carrier bag full of gibble from the lounge, cleaned the kitchen, tidied up a lot in here and the whole of downstairs looks much nicer. Heel still killing, really painful, so am going to sit and knit. Any excuse!

    DW on
    food cooked
    recycling out
    composting out.
    table cleared and wiped

DD3 sort of tidied and vacuumed her pit.. and then did the landing without being asked... that of course means she thinks I wont tell her off for not tidying her room well enough.

  • Evening all,

Nothing done yesterday. Last night the dishwasher and WM went off on the middle of cycles. Turns out the plug socket was red hot and the plugs had melted into it. This is not good. the wiring in this house is just scary. Anyway OH was sorting it when I got home from work so everything was upside down and power off. Also he has had to get a new printer, big thing, which for some reason meant he had to move the wireless router from the kitchen to the living room which seems to involve lots of tools and sawdust. So have spent the last couple of hours trying to tidy stuff up, help OH, and now am catching up with dishes and laundry.

The upshot of this is the place is a bit of a pit, so I'm off to see how much can get done before half seven.

Ps mumof2 great knitting, I can only do very slow squares or rectangles.

cy hope all goes well tomorrow x

  • So in the last hour I have:

    Cleared and wiped dining table
    Same with worktops
    Cleared little hotspot in kitchen
    Hoovered kitchen and hall
    Mopped kitchen and hall

    Now bedtime for small ones

OH needs to work tonight, so I might do some more. Dog needs a quick walk and I need to do an Internet shop. May do a meal plan in the interests of money saving. Will tackle LR I think tomorrow.

Yes it is for me. Best thing is it's a free pattern by Tincanknits on Ravelry - look for the Clayoquot Toque. It has a tutorial with it which is really helpful.

    Lovely knittying :)

Pigpen heartfelt thanks if you could take over for a while please :A

Just in from college. Need to blow up some balloons. The party bags and game things haven't arrived :( so I'll have to improvise. I have sweeties, and some tubs, that may have to do... There's still tomorrow's post I suppose.

I'm really all over the place and don't know where to start... Maybe I need a list...

So, my "baby" is 7 tomorrow. Birthdays are always a bit emotional here, although I guess we've had plenty of practice now.

Oh and I was run off the road by a ruddy great wagon (into a lay-by) tonight. Bit of a heart in mouth moment. Idiot decided to turn right from the left lane without checking anyone was in the right lane. Foreign plate, left hand drive. Just bl00dy dangerous!

    Aaaaaand breathe....
