  • I will keep reading through.

Even if i defend and write something up and lose.. maybe i wont necessarily have to pay the £250+ they are doing me for !

Just a quick one, actually looking at the claim form it is photocopied and does not have any stamps on it... the envelop shows that it did come from CCBC..

Could i log into the MCOL to check if it is legit also? It requires my personal info which i dont want to provide incase of anymore issues

MCOL comes from Northampton bulk centre , not Newcastle

if it is valid it should have court claim stamps on it and a claim number

I was surprised when you said it was from a different court , so best phone them up next week and check if its legitimate

scan it, redact it and host it on tinypic if you want advice on it (both sides)

here is a link to the Newcastle centre

    https://www.moneyclaimsuk.co.uk/county-court/newcastle-upon-tyne

click on their link and it takes you to the manual centre in Salford , Manchester , who handle paper claims, whereas Northampton deal with MCOL (online claims)

I received this letter from Newcastle. It has a claim number and also a password to go with it.. Can respond to the claim via moneyclaim.gov.uk. There isnt a fresh stamp as such just the county court symbol with that underneath it which is just part of the photocopy. This is a N1SDT claim form.

I just found a letter from them with an N1 claim form with fees which as quite higher then ones that ive received in this letter today... Along with this N1 claim form from before they photocopied the letter i sent to them and ive actually never seen photographic evidence either.
This letter was supposedly submitted to Northampton County Court 3 years ago but obviously not!

Guess i could phone up monday first thing and see if it is actually legit, i dont want to log into anything online giving up my personal info just incase (moneyclaim website)

Edit : Sorry, i have read wrong. The letter is infact from Northampton, i was reading wrong as the envelope says Newcastle :s
It is from CCBC in Northampton, sorry again for the confusion

if its genuine and from Northampton you can check it online yes, if in doubt phone them on monday

should be several papers with it

(N1CPC form + response pack N9CPC, Form N9A, Form N9B and an Acknowledgement of Service Form)

Yes i did check online and it is a legit claim. Weird that the first court papers sent in 2013 were fake and also for a higher amount of claim then now lol.

First two papers are labelled as N1SDT and the others N9A, N9B and AOSF
  • Since the ParkingEye and Beavis case, i see that what i have received many others have also. Guess its kind of an easy way to chase money when that case was lost!

Also can i request any photographic evidence, as i have never been supplied with any whatsoever?

you will be requesting that as part of the claim after you acknowledge it online and extend it by 14 days to put in the skeleon defence

its not studying the details in the NEWBIES sticky thread and pranksters book that is holding you back now, because once you are familiar with the process you will know what hurdles to jump and when

its also been answered in this recent thread too , where they got their information wrong as well

Thanks for who has replied... I read the newbie bit but cannot see where it says what to after receiving a court claim?
How about reading the bit that says 'Court Claim?' and don't attempt to read it on a phone. The links you need are right there. :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
  • Thanks, i am reading through all i can to decide on what steps to take.
Obviously i will acknowledge it and extend it to write a half decent defense.

Would it be a good idea to write a letter directly to CEL asking for information?
Such as contracts in place at the time with the landowner
Pictures of signage and there locations in the car park
Photos evidence of myself entering and leaving the car park
And damages exactly as whilst i waited the car park it wasnt full
