    Fantastic saving there Jazee

The local co-op (10mins away) has been sold to b&ms and closes the end of feb for a refit. We can't wait as we like going to b&ms for cheap tins, cat food and bird food.
Plus it's on my way home from work, :D

    Hi all,
Just a quick one as am about to progress an Annoying Thing from my list:
*Just got back from a nice outing to local park/NT site. Free entry. Free parking. Took a picnic & snack. mr f bought me a coffee.
*'Free' Sunday roast as have defrosted the chicken slices & gravy I froze last week, plus some of the batch-cooked braised red cabbage with apples.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch & work snacks.
    *Read energy meters.
*Keep downstairs heating off as long as possible.
*Be very tough with cat who is being unbelievably fussy with food today. Nothing else being proffered, not even any biscuits, until significant inroads have been made into his perfectly good bowl of spurned Waitrose cat meat.
*A soak in the bath later & a bit of a pamper.......two baths from one lot of hot water if possible, but I am intending to give myself the full works, with plenty of bubbles, unguents, pedicure, eyebrows, the lot!
*Had a useful conversation with mr f about the Car Fund.

Hi Everyone. First time posting on this thread. Yesterday I batch cooked lasagne and froze one, so I can have a home made ready meal during the week. I sorted out clothes that no longer fit youngest son and took them to the clothing bank. Early this morning I went for a bike ride with DH (completely free exercise) and we didn't have a caf! stop, which is unheard of. We came home for a cup of coffee and a toasted jam sandwich. I was tired from the bike ride, so DH made us a roast chicken dinner. Bless him. There is enough meat left over for a chicken and tomato pasta dinner.

OK - so how are my plans doing?
    So today's list:-
    [STRIKE]Print off M&S voucher e-mailed to us[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clean out fridge & menu plan meals available[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Tidy house[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Do not get annoyed a the noisy thumps on the living room tiles as the dogs chomp on the free bones from the butcher (this is a hard one - but they are sooo happy :p)[/STRIKE]
    Work out finances after payday
[STRIKE]Sort out & tidy all bits of paperwork in the living room (DH puts stuff in piles)[/STRIKE]

So basically just need to work out the finances - Must. Do. This

But on the upside - I returned the packaging of a failed meal (refund & replace thing) from Asda - it really was revolting - & got back 2 x refunds as I wouldn't have another one in the house. Also wombled a couple of receipts - DH was mortified but I'm sure his opinion will change when he wakes & I tell him I've got a £3.38 voucher :p. I think he panicked as I was driving out & I saw a trolley in one of the bays with a large receipt in it and went to stop - I saw the look on his face & decided better of it (but if I'd been on my own.......)

Anyhow - off to think about the ironing & doing the finances

    Catch up later folks

    List for today:
    Check banks Still to do
    Dog walks x 2 Done
HM meals from stores, pork chops bought on offer for dinner and the soup I made yesterday for lunch :)Dinner in oven now :)
Aiming for zero spends today :)Nothing spent :T Must update sig!
'Do something' with gifted HM chorizos as it is too warm now to leave them hanging up in the conservatory  Cut them into sections, put one in the fridge, well wrapped as it is very garlicky, the rest in freezer, also double wrapped
Housework - so I don't have it all to do tomorrow :(Hoovering done, stove cleaned out, bathroom done, just floors to wash and furniture to dust tomorrow
Any surveys, FPL etc No surveys today :(
Prepare RM survey tasks for the coming week Done, not too onerous this week

Went for a really long walk with OH and dog this afternoon, as it was fairly pleasant so wanted to do something outside. Explored an area of the town we hadn't been to before, and had a look at a house we had viewed, but didn't buy. Nice quiet place, compared to where we are now, and lovely big garden, but very small house and no space for a garage, parking etc. I would have liked it there, but no workshop etc for OH :(

Bathed smelly mutt, had to clean the bath again

Dug up some chard plants for the chickens - looks lovely, easy to grow, but we just don't like it :o Won't bother again.

Made a batch of blueberry muffins using blueberries bought on offer, and eggs from our hens :)

Heating off all day, though OH has lit the wood stove now

Not a bad day, got quite a lot done, and a long walk for free exercise :D

Added bonus, it seems to have worn the pup out, as he is asleep in his basket instead of charging about or being a pain :)

Morning all. Loving the batch cooking Bob :D how satisfying. My list for today:

Make picnic for walk we are going on later, take some Dundee cake that is in freezer to use it up, going to explore somewhere on our doorstep where we have never been :o
Get as ready as I can for week ahead, quick tidy through, iron school clothes, meal plan
    One thing from January list
    Run for free exercise
Maybe list a few bits on local faceb00k for sale

Have a good day everyone, will check back later J :)

Done everything apart form the faceb00k bit, there's still time though. Walk was amazing, place was fab and right on our doorstep, loads of space to explore. Will likely go with some friends when they come in next months with their boys.

Used some cheese we took on picnic and didn't eat in lasagne I made for tea. Used up a couple of well past their best sweet potatoes and some carrots for this weeks soup. Book bags and lunches done for tomorrow. We ate together for a change so hopefully will be able to complete a big thing off my January list once the girls are in bed :D
Managed a 4 mile run to, so with that and the big walk up a rather large hill, I should hopefully sleep well tonight. :o

Nice to see you Josie, congrats on your news :)

    Enjoy your evenings.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
Josie- think I remember you from a long time ago. Nice to see you again. I am in a similar boat. I have an almost 7 year age gap between my son and the baby I had in October. And having a spent 3 years setting up a business and working my tail off fell pregnant during a period where the business premises was affected by a flood that had us closed up for 6 months. Not the best of times....but I have to say now she's here it just doesn't matter anymore. Congratulations on your pregnancy and hope you are able to enjoy the remainder of it without the dreadful sickness.
