Don’t know what was going on with the traffic this morning - it took 50 minutes to do a 7 minute journey - I was late and not impressed.
They’ve opened a new road in the centre of town over the weekend and closed a road - plus a road a few miles away which goes to the airport is totally flooded and closed so I think it was a combination of everything but it didn’t make for a pleasant journey.
I went into town after work and stocked up on loo rolls and toiletries plus got some bits from Mr T - their carpark is free for 3 hours so is park in there. I ended up treating the gdds to some leggings and Easter tops so quite spendy. Need to take hold and start tracking againJanuary spends - £587.580 -
Been a busy few days . I met a friend last night and went for a meal - I had chicken salad and diet coke :A as did my friend who inspired me after loosing 6 1/2 stone in 14 months. She is amazing - had a double mastectomy, chemo and a Caesarian a few years agoand the just as she was picking herself up and enjoying life a ruptured appendix, and sepsis. So she was a t rock bottom, picked herself up and joined Slimming World, she’s been put forward for the national awards. She looks years younger and if she can do it there’s hope for me 🤣🤣
I’ve had a letter to go back to the pre-op dept next week. Thought I wold end up going back to speak to fella who knocks me out - 😂😂spelling needed Beanie 😂😂January spends - £587.580 -
Well done to your friend.
That is awesome
You are going to see the anesthetist, sometimes known as the gas man.

Well I maintained this week at SW - I’d crossed my fingers, toes and everything else for a loss but to be honest the amount I ate and drank last weekend I’m surprised it wasn’t a gain. So it’s 4 weeks without a gain - aiming for number 5. Dh made tea tonight - he likes spices - I don’t. There was so much pepper in the pasta and sauce I couldn’t eat it. I wasn’t impressed - but felt quite mean leaving half as dh had cooked it.
I am seeing the anesthetist Beanie :rotfl::rotfl: I have been like the children at school learning to spell - now I need to learn how to say it :rotfl:::rotfl: can never get my tongue around it.
We’ve been to see our friend this afternoon. He was talking - but what he was saying was pure gobbledygook. Although he had moments of realisation- looked me straight in the eye and asked how I was and if I was walking ok again. So I think he knew who I was - then he rambled again. He has no movement down his left side. It’s just so sad to see an articulate and very clever man end up in this way. He used to design and service electrical medical equipment - scanners etc. He travelled the country liaising with doctors. Just showed me again we need to make the most of every minute - as the next minute just isn’t promised.
Paid my cc in full. I was impressed as I had most of my wage left in bank after paying cc. Usually most is used paying it - leaving me to feel I’m on permanent catchup. :money::money:not this month though.
We’re going to see ds tomorrow and going out somewhere - not sure where yet - but I intend to make the most of my weekends :T:T I spend too many tidying the house. Need to organise myself better:p
Hope you’re all enjoying your weekend :T;)January spends - £587.580 -
Great news on paying CC & still having most of your wages left :j :j
Sorry about your friend
