I know Beanie - got to admit it’s been on my mind and I didn’t sleep at all Thursday night - watched the clock go around - I slept slightly better on Friday about 3 hours then on Saturday after being out for a long walk with ds for an early Mother’s Day I crashed out at half nine but was awake from half 2  then yesterday I was so bad tempered because I was tired. I slept better last night but in stints of an hour or so. Fingers crossed for tonight. I just want it over with - it feels like it’s been going on forever.... I know it’s not life threatening or anything- just an arm but it’s beginning to get to me a bit (lot) now.

We went to see our friend yesterday too - think that might have had something to do with my mood and bad temper as he wasn’t as good as he was last week. The unfairness of it all got to me a bit.....but that’s life I suppose. We weren’t going to go as I wanted to blitz the house but his wife phoned and sounded so poorly with a virus which could easily see him off if she visited him with it - so I offered to go. I’m glad I did as they’ve been good friends to us for the last 30 years or more. So me worrying about an arm puts it all in perspective

I lost another 1 1/2lb on Saturday and reclaimed my 1/2 stone award. :j:j:j:j I will get into some nice clothes if we ever get to go on a nice holiday or cruise. I’ve slipped a bit over the weekend though - nothing bad but I need to reign in.

    4 days until I break up- can’t wait :T:T

There certainly is such a lot going on for you at the moment on different levels that I am not surprised that your sleep patterns are all over the place.
Well done on the weight loss.
    Soon be the holidays :)
Do you have a rough time frame for the op?

Beanie 4 - 6 weeks but he wasn’t too sure as it’s out of docs hand and admissions prioritise patients. So could be anytime as I’ve said I can accept a cancellation.....

Been to see another friend who had a brain tumour removed 6 weeks ago - she is doing amazingly - has got her sight back which was down to 75% and looks great.

I’ve got a right load of crock friends - but wouldn’t swap them for anything ;)

Only spend today was £2 on daffodils which I took to friend :money:

It’s been like the middle of winter again - woolly hat made a reappearance on playground duty.

Will they give you a sedative for the op? When I (Mr SA!!) broke my ankle and dislocated it they gave me a sedative when they put it back in place, I honestly don't remember much about it I was so out of it. Glad your friend is doing well xx

I’m presuming they’ll give me a sedative but he didn’t actually say - other than he’ll look after me. I trusted him as he knew his stuff. Just waiting is getting me down a bit but it is what it is.

On Friday at work we had a well being day - it was aimed at the children but I found I really benefited from it and it made me do some serious thinking. We went around various classrooms and each room did something about mental well being. Basically it was living in the present - we did mindfulness and talked about the things humans need to keep in balance - contact with real people, less screen time, and to focus on things that made us happy - big or small, getting exercise you enjoy - we did a Zumba session, eating healthily - they had portions of cereal and the amount of sugar in each portion in a dish beside it - it really was an eye opener, the final class was a tai chi session. Staff were given a pamphlet from the LEA with websites and self help material. It made me realise how I’m putting my life on hold whilst I’m waiting for the op and I need to keep things in perspective :p:p

So we had a last minute night away - ds wanted to go to a train show a virtually 3 hour drive away - we have done it previously in a day but it’s a long day. We got a good deal on a night at a hotel with a pool, went to the show then chilled in the hotel, went for a swim, had a lovely 3 course meal in the hotel with a couple of drinks and a lovely chat - quite romantic :rotfl::rotfl: even after 40 years:eek::rotfl:. We had another swim Sunday morning followed by a massive breakfast, walk in a country park and ride on a steam train. We were going to eat out on our way home but neither of us were hungry. We came home and bundled together a help yourself picky tea which was lovely and watched some catch up tv. It was only a night away but I feel like I’ve had a holiday.

Today I got up - headed straight to the gym to use my membership- had a swim, short go in the gym a break for a cuppa and then did a tai chi class. I’ve booked another tai chi class tomorrow and plan a swim/gym session first.

SW has taken a bit of a battering as I must have eaten a weeks worth of syns just in yesterday’s breakfast - daren’t even think about the meal on Saturday night.....so I’m trying to do a bit of damage limitation :rotfl::rotfl:

Your last minute night away with Mr milann sounded wonderful - you're so right not to put your life on hold - enjoy each moment as much as you can.

Fingers crossed for SW tomorrow! But at least you've been enjoying yourself. :)
