You've had a lovely few days (apart from your arm!) - it's nice to be an Indulgent Grandma.
Good news too about OH's reduced working week. You'll have to get separate TVs!:)
A result too on the nice doctor who listened and spent some time with you. Sometimes one feels that they're as rare as hen's teeth!
Hope you find some slippers! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thanks for all your lovely comments and Hi Sunshine. I gave myself a kick up the behind this afternoon and ended up getting the tram to big city. I do miss my local M&S. I bought slippers - I need to try them on as I have funny feet
- couldn’t believe the price £19.50 but I use them a lot and they’re good quality  I treated myself to a cheap tea in the market hall - they do ethnic street style foods which are really quite nice so I had Greek chicken and pistachio rice which was delicious and just over a fiver.
I had a mooch around town and the only other thing I bought a little toy which I posted to my newly adopted great niece for Easter - I’ve not met her yet but believe she’s had a tough time of things in the past. I just wanted her parents to know I was thinking of them all. She seems like a character and I can’t wait to see her but they have to take things slowly whilst she adjusts to her new life.
I didn’t get home until after 8 - quite enjoyed myself - much better than sitting feeling sorry for myself, which I seem to fall into quite easily recently. I’m hoping now I’ve acquired the stuff from doc I might perk up a little.January spends - £587.580 -
I'm the same as you milann - I have funny feet too so buying footwear can be a chore. My M&S boot slippers cost the same as yours. I do love them though as they are so warm and comfortable.
I hope you get to see your great-niece soon. My own little nephew is adopted. It was a few weeks before family and friends could meet him in order to give him time to adjust. Before that he lived with a very nice foster family for a while, but previously his little life was pretty grim.
Hope you're feeling more lively today in time for Easter. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I’ve been wearing my slippers in and they are so comfortable I’ve no complaints at the price - they’re suede moccasin style. I did see some in Mr S@insbobs today though for a tenner then 20% or maybe even 25% off....I did wonder if I’d have been better waiting but on reflection I’m happy. How sad am I getting excited about a pair of slippers
Dh had his 1st Thursday off today - he took himself out for a couple of hours this morning then we went to gym again to use the last £20 of restaurant vouchers from recommending friend, we went for a lovely walk around a local water park - it’s right at the side of a busy motorway but the birdsong was lovely, and onto John Ls for free drink and cake. Did a bit of a food shop £40 which was pretty good for what I’d bought in the Sainsbobs next to John L so a nice day MSE style - just had to top up restaurant with £6 as voucher didn’t quite cover food and drinks.
I bought a sleeveless shirt in pretty colours in Mr S’s with buttons up the front which should be easier than getting a t-shirt on when my arm is out of action - again at a discount :money:
We’re planning a day out with ds, probably on Saturday. Otherwise pottering around the garden doing a few jobs. Will do some roast lamb at some point - can’t remember the last time I had lamb and mint sauce - I’m drooling at the thought
Have a lovely Easter weekend whatever you happen to be doing.January spends - £587.580 -
Sounds like a great weekend planned , and a couple of lovely days you have had as well. I love my 4 day week, hope DH enjoys his shorter week.
Let's hope you get your op done soon .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.0 -
I’m hoping so Sunshine but not holding my breath....end of April/May the last time I enquired. Got to admit it’s getting to me
I’m feeling a bit better today - I slept better last night than I’ve slept in a long time. I’m wondering if it’s coincidence that I went to docs and started new treatment or if it’s working more quickly than I imagined with unexpected bonuses like sleep - or I was just shattered - time will tell.January spends - £587.580
