We have a boiler man here….he messaged yesterday to say he’d be here at 9. At half 9 I messaged to see where he was….getting dust sheets from his lockup. He turned up at 10. I suspect he took the kids to school the way he was talking - which is lovely and I don’t mind one bit - but why say 9 and not 10 🤷♀️🤷♀️ Anyway he is quite amusing as he is talking to himself all the time 🤫😂😂 I’ve just had a look in the kitchen and my lovely new plastering which isn’t quite 2 years old now has a hole in the ceiling near and the boiler is a different size. Think we need to get someone out to put a cupboard around it 😏 I mentioned it might be wise to get a new boiler at the time as it has been a bit temperamental for a while 😏 Hindsight is a wonderful thing though😏 I think he is the only workman I’ve ever had who hasn’t had a cuppa ….or ten 😂
We had a great time at dds her new house a slightly further walk to the sea front but not by much. The garden is bigger and there is parking and outhouses. It was a bit spendy as I treated the gks and bought ice creams for everyone. Need to do some number crunching.
I finished the black cardigan whilst I was there and eldest gdd was very happy with it. I was happy that it still fit her as I’d started it over a year ago. That is why I always make them bigger 😉 I crocheted a hat for youngest whilst I was there so that she had something and she could see I’m part way through her cardigan which I’ll post to her along with a hat for elder gdd. That kept everyone happy 👍
I’m gutted that my kitchen has been mess about with…..whenever we have something done….something always goes wrong within a short period 😢January spends - £587.581 -

Beautiful, I love beach huts. September is a great time of year for a holiday in the UK. We always used to go to Devon or Cornwall in September when the kids were young and the weather was mostly good.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

😂😂 the gks can’t understand why we always want to go to the sea soon after we get there. Once the little one was here and when she was tiny and asked to go to our beach…..couldn’t understand we couldn’t just walk to the beach 😂😂. Last year we took them to our closest beach an hour and half away…….they don’t realise just how lucky they are.January spends - £587.580

What a faff about the boiler and the hole in the ceiling! The cupboard sounds like it could be a good idea.
So pleased you had a good time with the family. The beach huts are fab! We have some a few miles away along the seafront - a few years ago a guy I used to work with bought one and he and his wife used to love going down there when the weather was good and he was very proud of it. One day they were sitting outside eating their lunch off their table and chairs when a woman walked by with a little boy. The little boy stared at them and then turned to his mum and said 'Mum - can I have an ice cream from that shop there!' 🤣. He said it put a different slant on the hut!
