Milann's life keeps getting in the way.......

We are planning to stay on the A roads RS. We used to have our caravan down there so know the areas we want to go and they are roads with white lines down the middle not grass 😂😂😂 We once took a turning too soon when towing the caravan and it had grass growing…..so its a bit of a standing joke - I like white lines not grass down the centre of the road. I quite fancy Dh getting a specialised satnav that will keep us on hgv routes though 👍😂😂January spends - £587.581

I know the sorts of road you mean. We found a few of those
We will not be attempting that type of road with Milo. It was bad enough in the Sierra!!0 -
Devon and Cornwall are entirely full of roads with grass down the middle aren't they - I prefer white lines too, although I don't mind a single track as long as it comes with plentiful passing places like the ones up in the Islands do!
I'm not talking about spiders - could have done with a trigger warning for that photo!
Have a wonderful trip Milann - this time last year we were crossing our fingers that the lockdown easing happened as planned so we could go! I’ll say hi to Coverack for you. Might have to wave from the main road though as I’m not sure we’ll venture down the tiny roads this time.We are playing with the idea of getting a towing frame so we can take our little car. This trip will be the test I think. We used to use a site between Truro and Falmouth with the caravan as a base and travel to every corner of the county depending on cloud cover as we got to a roundabout. I think we might feel a tad hemmed in if we don’t get out and about to see several places like we’re used to.Dd has just phoned and the house has sold in less than a week for a considerable amount more than the asking price…..crazy, crazy times. I wouldn’t want to be starting out buying a house now 😳😳
I’ve hoovered and wiped the van out. It wasn’t bad at all. Downstairs has been sorted including cleaning the fridge. I just want to clean the bedding tomorrow and Hoover upstairs then put everything in the van ready to go 😁😁
I’ve paid my car tax and credit card. I tried to put a claim into HSA for the day patient treatment last week. I haven’t got a clue how to download the discharge papers so will have to wait for Dh to help me 😏Consultants secretary has just phoned to book a hip injection for May. I can tell it’s time.January spends - £587.581 -
Are you basing yourself on one site or travelling around Cornwall?
We find travelling around works better for us. One or two days max then move on again to somewhere different to explore.0 -

RS we are staying somewhere we would never usually touch with a barge pole. A Haven site……it’s only just over £10 a night as it’s out of season. We figured children are still in school so it should be quiet. We’ve got a pool if the weather is horrendous……but it is looking ok for this time of year. We will pop our head in to see what the entertainment is like - but realistically we will probably just have a walk and find a pub for a quiet drink 😂It’s got access onto the beach we’ve walked along many, many times. We are staying in a pub car park en route in both directions…..well we are if Dh phones and books today. We want to go to Falmouth, St Ives and probably a walk along the headland at Newquay. Then call in on Padstow at some point, maybe a day at Eden as we usually visit June time , so it will look very different. I’m planning on a visit to an old work friend who lives just outside Porth Leven. And we’d like to go to The Lizard. We do a lot of walking and usually eat in a local pub in the daytime - then just snack in the van of an evening.I think we need a month down there to do all the things we like to do……we will have to see where we actually get to. We don’t plan - just take each day depending on how we feel.
We have mentioned hopping from site to site every couple of days in the future though.January spends - £587.585 -
When the kids were little we used to stay on a Haven site Perran Sands in Perranporth. It was in a great location, the beach was lovely.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1
