We had a lovely day in Wales yesterday - went to a National Trust place and had a mooch around, tea and cake followed by fish and chips at the seaside later . Got stuck in a massive jam on the road out of Wales back home but to be expected on a sunny bank holiday I suppose.

Good day at work today although I could easily have stayed in bed this morning. I think I woke up every half hour as i was so hot.

Just watching Devon and Cornwall police on TV - wish I was there right now.

A couple of spendy and eaty days - need to reign both in.

Done 4 days in a row at work and it feels like I've never been away. Loving it.
MSE has been a joke - car insurance £400, I bought some tickets to some shows at our local theatre - the carpenters story and a Motown show later this year. I'll go with a friend - she'll pay for 1 but I owe her a ticket from when I went to see the Stylistics last year. Plus I put petrol in the car for the 1st time in a very long time - 1 advantage of sharing a car with dh - he filled it most of the time. And every time I go shopping it's been at least £20 - most days....need to get a grip.

Going out for a meal tomorrow with a voucher we got for Christmas before it runs out of date - looking at the prices though as it's quite posh - will have to put cash to it. It should be nice though. I sound very ungrateful and I'm not really. No idea what I'll wear as I can't get into anything.

I went back to slimming world and have put 1 1/2 stone on since I was at target so I'm not a happy bunny. So far so good today - long may it last.

Today it's taken me virtually all day to clean downstairs - not even ventured upstairs or cleaned the stairs yet. Doing everything left handed is taking so long.... I know when I'm beaten though and will do upstairs tomorrow.

Food wise I've done well so far but that won't last when we go out later. But will be walking there and back about an hour each way for a bit of damage limitation. I'll link dh to keep me upright. I'll be extra good for the rest of the week. I will have a loss this week and not just out of my purse at SW.

Have you got the new referral for your wrist yet ? It sounds like you are having an awkward time trying to do stuff left handed , take your time with it you don't want to injure your left hand.

Your NT visit in Wales sounded really good , pity about the traffic coming home . My DD spent the bank holiday in Wales but came home early to avoid the rush in our one way out of Wales road.

How was the meal as well ?

    Have a good day .

Still waiting for the referral to Wrightington Hospital - it's supposed to be the best around here - one half of me wants them to sort it the other half of me wants them to say they can't - I know I shouldn't but looked at t'internet and it doesn't look too appealing....but neither is not using my right arm for much. Just a bit fed up of surgery at the moment.

The meal last night was nice - a very posh bijou hotel that has opened in a park a couple of miles from here - 32 squid for a steak '6' chips piled in a neat tower with broccoli, 1 carrot, and green beans...... For pud I had pineapple presented in lots of different ways - looked like something from Masterchef. We had to put £16 to the complete evening for 2 of us so can't complain as dd bought us the voucher as a treat. Lucky Mummy:D

I felt scruffy though as I wanted to wear a dress but they didn't fit me as I've put so much weight on...I wore black trousers and top and looked OK - just felt rubbish. Anyway it's the kick up the backside to shape myself food and exercise wise.

Been doing a bit more 1 handed gardening in my front garden today. I've managed to weed 1 arm of an L shaped edging using a trowel over 2 days - it's feeling as if I'm getting there slowly - but as long as the weeds don't grow on the part I've done before I finish it'll be a job done well. Just need to buy some lavender plants now.

My friend was treated at Wrightington for a complicated break on her wrist and it's fine now. They are supposed to be the specialist place in the area.

Your meal sounds very nouveau cuisine , but at least you got to try the new place .

I guess it's just do the best you can with your left hand until you get the referral. Today has been lovely without being to warm.

Cumbria it's reassuring to hear of someone having had wrist surgery at Wrightington - my brother had a replacement knee and hip there but I'd not heard of anyone having wrists done before. I've looked doc I'm to see up and his credentials sound impressive;). Just wish Wrightington was in Stockport instead of Wigan.... I thought going to Saford Royal with my spinal problem was a long way but it's easily accessed by the tram.Going to Wigan will need dh to take time off to take me.

I'd every intention of coming home and doing another bit of my garden but had a cuppa in front of tv and promptly fell asleep.

NSD today and low spends yesterday. Payday tomorrow - expecting it to be half pay but next month should sort itself out again I hope now I'm back.

I'd be happy if weather stayed like this all summer - not too hot and not too cold - my sort of weather
