Well 2 days back at work felt so good. It was lovely to be welcomed back by both staff and children. I couldn't have done it without the splint though...and I'm so pleased I changed jobs as there is no way I'd have been able to go back to my old one.
Got my referral letter through from my local hospital. It is at a hospital with a good reputation but still a pain to get to. I know I shouldn't but I googled what they want to consider - :rotfl:I'm non the wiser as I couldn't find anything in lay mans terms. Sounds a tad scary:eek::eek: but no point jumping the gun it might not be suitable.
Just need to wait for an appointment now.

Yes off Monday - looking forward to a few days off with dh.
Beanie they've mentioned something called 'interosseus membrane reconstruction' - not sure if they're doing it for sure yet but that is what orthopaedic surgeon has suggested to some professor to consider at new hospital. In my understanding it's the membrane that holds the bits of your wrist together that basically kn@ckered and needs sorting, that coupled with loss of bone from elbow fracture is giving me agro at my wrist - one day I'll do something straightforward or better still - nothing at all!!! New hospital might have different ideas....
I'm hoping it won't be for a good while if they do it - I'd planned doing some nice celebratory things this year but put them on hold for a wee while till I know what's what.January spends - £587.581 -

Not got the appointment yet Beanie - just a copy of the referral letter which came yesterday.
It also had the previous mistake in my history which I'd notified them off once before :mad:

Had a bit of an unplanned day yesterday - had a mooch around local park which has had a bit of a face lift thanks to local volunteers - something I keep meaning to get involved in but every time there's an event I'm busy - honest
then went to train station where there was an event by local train enthusiasts (lol read nerds of which I include my dh) then to makers market for a nosey but it was getting a tad late and the food had been on display and the sun was out so I didn't buy anything - didn't want to give myself food poisoning and onto a garden centre to look at fairy houses - there was a gorgeous display I'd seen which gdds will just adore and it'll fit in with garden railway dh has. We didn't buy anything but got some nice ideas - followed by a sharing platter at pub. So lovely spontaneous day doing nothing much. Spent £15 in pub on food, drink and an ice cream. Not sure how SW the platter was, as it was all fried:eek: wish somewhere did a healthy platter as I love 'picky food' with a drink - don't always want a meal.
So today has been pottering in the garden - I'm attempting to weed the front garden and remove some very woody lavenders that have seen better days - not an easy task 1 handed. Might take me a while. But it's making me feel as if I'm contributing. dh is looking at the area where the shed was - rearranging the train track, making a wall where eventually there will be a rockery and fairy garden. It looks a right mess at the moment and will be a work in progress for some time yet but other than fairy house we will utilise what we have around the garden. Can't wait for it to be finished. I can't nag though as I can't do much to help - I'd normally be out there in the thick of it - frustrated.com!!!!!
Out with ds tomorrow - then work on Tuesday :T:T:T still feels so good to be saying that. Next week should be my first full week in since October....January spends - £587.581 -
