Well my week in the lakes and still thinking I'm in holiday mode hasn't done much for my SW regime 3lb on...I'd intended booking in at a Saturday group so that I'd get straight back on track but hospital appointment for scan scuppered that. I'm so mad - BUT new 12 week countdown kicks in today - this will be the last time - I've messed around enough - Feel free to give me a kick up the behind if I stray away - if I muck it up this time I'm stopping wasting my money.

The other news in the household is my dh has had a lightbulb moment....he was convinced he had another 18 months working before his retirement but he's suddenly realised he should finish this November. So it was panic stations as he now needs to chase up an old nhs pension which he hasn't had any correspondence about - I've been reminding ( nagging:D:D) him about this for at least a couple of years. So now we need to do some serious number crunching to see if he will have enough to see us through or if he's going to work a couple of days - if they'll have him or if he's going to finish completely. Serious changes are going to happen.....how.....has he managed to think he had to work till he was 66 - I wish he'd listen instead of burying his head in the sand. Even madder :mad::mad::mad::mad: I would have been finishing with him if they hadn't messed the retirement ages about:mad:

Glad to hear you had a good time in the Lakes , you went to a lot of places . I love going on La Ratty with the grandkids .

Seems funny to think you were at the hospital 2 mins from my front door, I was there on the 10th and at the outlet place on the day before you.

If DH is retiring would you consider being part time if you aren't already ?

    Thanks Beanie and CL.
Lol I did look at folk in the street and wonder if I was walking past you or your house CL. If you're ever passing the M&S in the hospital they reduce loads of meals just before 8 pm. When I was in my dh and ds bought meals most nights for 10-20 pence - a quick tea once they got home. Just waiting for another appointment to go back for the results so I'll be wondering if I'm passing you again :rotfl:

I work 30 hours a week CL and get school holidays off. If I were to go part time it would probably be morning only or afternoons only as that's how my school seems to operate - ideally if the sums added up I'd like 2 or 3 days - but they don't have any support staff on those terms. The staff who work mornings never seem to get out on time and end up doing stuff into the afternoon unpaid - so I might as well stay as I am for now as doing afternoons doesn't appeal to me at all.
