Glad you’re feeling a bit better. We’ve got our flu jabs next week.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Hope you don’t get a reaction - not sure if I’ve had a reaction or if I was coming down with something anyway. My throat is still a bit sore but my joints aren’t aching as much.

We have both had a really bad cold type virus while we have been away. It started just after we set off and is still lingering on now.
We have been taking Covid tests just to make sure it is only a cold but we felt rubbish for a couple of days last week. Luckily the weather was rubbish so we didn't miss much.0 -
I haven't got as far as flu jabs yet, but did have my covid booster yesteerday, it wasn't 3rd time lucky as I still have a headache. My friend had one about an hour before me but has had the bad sleep reaction so I stayed over for the 2nd one which wasn't so bad, but this one I finally left at 4pm (that is the next day) when I could barely wake him & am going to go back shortly. If only to make sure he is going to be okay to drive tomorrow, he certainly wasn't today.

Apparently there is a virus doing it’s rounds, not Covid, but totally wipes you out for a few days. As if we haven’t suffered enough 😩I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Hope everyone is feeling a bit better. I just have a sore throat now so am presuming it’s a random virus. I’ve not had a cough. Just weary and sore throat……
Not much planned this weekend other than making a birthday card for dd, which I still haven’t completed 😏January spends - £587.580 -
So after saying not much planned for the weekend- we headed to get some more Strepsils which led to dinner in W spoons…as it does 😉.I had a jacket potato with roast veg and cheese so nothing too naughty. We went for a walk around a little pond. I bumped into an old friend I used to work with and had a bit of a chat. So a lovely unexpected day. I’m not moving out of my hair now as I’m shattered. It was an eye opener though as I remember walking around the same pond as I was recovering last year and it felt as if I’d walked miles before we had to turn around……it was yards 😵💫
Ds phoned and said he had tickets for us to visit some RHS gardens not far away which opened earlier this year. I wasn’t going to go until next year to give it time to get established but with the money off voucher he had - works out £8 for all 3 of us. From there we will go to the big shopping mall not far away and use his Zizzi vouchers he s had since before lockdown. So a busy day tomorrow….early night on the cards then.
