Well having an early night didn’t do much for me. I was too hot and really uncomfortable.....interestingly I ran out of decaf tea and have been drinking proper tea for the last couple of weeks. Bought more decaf to see if it makes a difference.....plus I ached in places I’d forgotten I had and tossed and turned until the early hours - I still struggle rolling over in bed so not a good combo😳then was wide awake just after 5 when it was light. I’ve got blackout curtains but the light from the edges of the curtains is enough to wake me. Right enough moaning....
dh is working today - he is usually off on a Friday so I intend to enjoy my peaceful day. He’ll be home as soon as the job has finished. I need him to move some rocks he ‘had to have’ for the railway a few years ago.....they’re still in the front garden and the place they were going empty BUT I’ve earmarked the space for my tubs - he was going to move them yesterday but it didn’t happen. If my little lavender boarders have to go to fit the motor home in - I intend to keep the garden colourful by having more pots in different places than before.
Builder is supposed to be coming tomorrow to finish the pointing and hopefully level the flags off so I can make my shady nook 😡😡😡in the back garden. I am so cross he said he could do the job and then not turn up. I’m still bringing plants in and out every night as I need the flags levelling before we set the mini greenhouse up.
    Today
    I am grateful for
    - sunshine
    - plants and soil I can potter around with
    - decaf tea 👍

Well done you in phoning the police for the old lady and spending some time with her. Some people wouldn't have bothered.

Your builder is sadly lacking in customer service.
Can't believe you are still waiting  :(

  • I hope you manage to get your teeth in Milann and that your builder comes. I hate it when people don't turn up when they say they will 😡 .

Hairy the teeth are getting there.....😂😂😂😬👍
The builder didn’t show and didn’t answer my calls. I’m livid 😡
We went to see ds yesterday afternoon and drove about half an hour from him. We had a lovely walk around a lake which is on th edge of the Pennines.....it feels as if you are right in the heart of the countryside but in reality it right in the edge of a big town. It was lovely. We found a table to sit at to eat ice cream and then back to his for a lasagne he’d prepared and watch a film. It was a lovely day 😀
Ds was having a mooch around t’internet this morning and the motorhome we’ve ordered has gone up £500 😳😳 Think we ordered at the right time for once 👍
No plans today - a restful day with a bit of pottering around the garden. Dh is cooking himself a curry - it’s too hot for me. It’ll replenish the freezer with some of what was eaten last week at our Curry Christmas. Not sure what we’re having for tea - I might pull a mild curry out of the freezer for me.
I’ve got a hospital  appointment at 9 in the morning to consider a treatment that increases bone density. I’ve been waiting for this appointment for about 18 months. Can’t be helped though with everything that’s been happening in the world. Dh will drop me off and a friend is picking me up and we will have brunch somewhere......if we don’t find anywhere it can be in my garden 👍

Will somebody keep me away from garden centres 😲😲😲 I've bought some house plants for the terrarium I’m making and more thymes for the railway and bedding plants for my pots at the front....oooooh and some really low growing mint that I’ve never seen before for the railway. I’m going to enjoy planting them all 😀 I was shocked at the price of terrariums similar in size to the one I’m planting up were around £50....it cost me about £15 for plants, stone,  compost and charcoal so bargain when you look at it that way 🤔😏🙃 So my old rice jar I bought for a couple of pounds about 40 years ago which I’d still use had the seal not rotted is bargainous don’t ya think 😂😂
Car insurance is due next week and I want to renew my membership at the gym as I get a discount for working for the local authority atm so whilst I’m still on the books I want to take advantage. I been to tired to go since they re-opened but I’m feeling much better and will go either tomorrow or Tuesday - depends how long my friend stays tomorrow after she’s picked me up from the hospital....it’ll be nice to see her though 😀 So I need to do some serious looking at my bank account and do some budgeting 🤞 I wish I knew where I stood re work and what’s happening. I’ve been very restrained with my spending this last year but I know it’s creeping up - just need to keep an eye on things.
