Milann's life keeps getting in the way.......

It will be worth the money Milann as you'll get a lot of pleasure from the plants (I'm the devil on your shoulder 😂 ).
It must be annoying not knowing what's happening long term at work. I'm like that as I have no job security at the moment for most of my hours and my pay changes every month so it's hard to budget. I hope get you get some answers soon. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Thanks Hairy. I want to get the garden looking good again. It’s slipped a tad.....people always love it when they see the railway but with one thing and another the planting isn’t what it was. I’m hoping now I have time I can get it back. It isn’t heavy gardening as it’s all in raised beds. We have to use low growing plants so thyme is perfect 👍January spends - £587.581

I went to the hospital yesterday. Everything was as I expected....the consultant has given the go ahead on a new treatment. I had bloods taken and providing they’re ok they’ll send for me to start the infusions which will only be once a year. 👍 Hopefully it will make a difference.
My friend picked me up and we bought a breakfast barmcake and sat in my garden in the sunshine which was lovely. She had tickets bought her for Micky Bubbles last year and I was her plus 1. It was postponed to this July and just been put back until next July which is disappointed but better safe than sorry.
The rest of the day was spent chasing the GP up for a sicknote which hadn’t come through via e mail. Anyway once I eventually picked it up I dropped it into work.In between times I planted up my terrarium which I’m really pleased with, I think it gives the £50 ones a run for their money 😀
Then I was planting up a few bedding plants......I could only do a few at a time as I was aching a lot yesterday for some reason. I’ll carry on today doing a few at a time. Then if I need to fill the pots up I can nip and get some more. 😲😲😲 I should have plenty 😀January spends - £587.581 -
Good news on the infusions
Glad that you finally got the sick note!

No - not heard anything about the retirement - they’re contacting doctors so no idea how long it’ll take.
I’ve had a lot of bedding plants on my decking and have been bringing them in and out each evening....except the couple of nights I forgot and a frost got them......anyway they have lost a few leaves but seem to be recovering. I’ve taken the plunge and planted them out in the pots where they’re going to live in the front garden. I hope they’ll survive as I know it’s a bit early.....but there’s no frosts forecast in this next week near us. I have some fleece so will cover them up if there is going to be ha hard frost. It’s taken me the best part of 3 days as I’ve had to keep resting and I feel absolutely shattered now but they do look good. My rose on the watering can shattered the other day so I popped around to B&am for another couple of fuschias 🤫 and some canes to make a fan for the sweet peas to grow up. I picked a watering can up which was a tenner 😲 then I spotted a rose for £1.....universal it said......fits any can.....except mine. Anyway dh thinks he can sort something with it 😀 I’m very pleased with the fan I’ve made - cost £6 for the canes and if I’d have bought one it would have been at least £15-25. Spendy days but could have been much worse 👍January spends - £587.581 -
Lazy morning here. Dh brought me a cuppa before he went to work as usual. When I woke up I had a cold cuppa by my side. I hadn’t realised how tired I was. I feel much more refreshed but not venturing into the garden.......I wouldn’t mind but I was sitting on a stool putting plants from the garden centre into bigger pots. Can’t call that strenuous- dh moved the pots into place and I stuck a few canes into soft compost to make a fan. I dread think what I’d feel like if I was doing heavy work......So I’ve only just had breakfast and the most I plan today is a bit of tidying. Think my swim is out - I need a couple of days to recoup.January spends - £587.581

I enjoyed my lazy day yesterday. I put a lovely chicken stew in the oven and made some little cheese scones for on top to make a cobbler. I had a bit of a Hoover but didn’t get around to my bedroom which was my original plan. So bedding is currently in the machine.
😂😂😂I've just been watching tv about the new RHS gardens that will be opening not too far from me. They kept talking about gardening being a stress relief.....it’s not in the early hours of the morning when your tossing and turning because you know you’ve put your bedding plants out too early and forgot to cover them 😲😳😲. Worse than having kids 😂😂😂😂😂 I daren’t look to see if they’ve survived the night. I’ll be devastated if they’ve not 😳😂😂😂😂

Expensive day yesterday- car insurance and breakdown cover paid £450. Also paid my cc in full and looked at finances. My wages have dropped considerably- not surprisingly- I’ve been off work a long time and count myself very lucky to have been paid even if some has been half pay for as long as I have. I’ve saved a bit whilst I’ve not been able to get out but recently my spends have crept up again. I need to stay within what I’m getting each month and not eat away at the savings. I do want to renew my gym for the swimming whilst I’m still on the books at work as we get a discount. I know swimming will be good for me....I’d planned to go this week but have been garden and I can’t do both atm. So Tuesday I plan a swim - won’t be a long one but something to build on.
The washing machine we had replaced about a year ago has started making horrendous noise and is juddering when it spins. This was finally replaced after smoking and lots of going back and forth with Hotpoint saying it wasn’t on the whirlpool list - even though one of their engineers had condemned it because it was. Hotpoint had no record of it 🤔 anyway they’re sending someone out on Thursday. It’s borderline whether it’s still in warranty. Must dig the paperwork outJanuary spends - £587.581
