Not much to report over the weekend.I was very tired....we had our 2nd vaccine on Saturday morning and I don’t know whether it was that or my busy week with gks that wiped me out. I pottered a bit and put some slate chippings into buckets from the front garden ready to transfer into the back. We chatted to more neighbours in that hour than we have all winter. Yesterday we popped over to a friends garden to wish him happy birthday- I had a quick drink with them and came hom and fell asleep. Cash was spent on birthday beer and card for him. I cancelled visiting ds which I felt bad about but have seen him a couple of times during the week.
I’m at physio this morning then a couple of hours later getting new hearing aids.....so I’ll have a mooch around town killing time as it won’t be worth coming back home. I need to phone for repeat prescriptions and phone dentist as I’ve managed to completely break my false teeth in half 😂😂😂😂😂 I feel as if I’m falling apart at the seams 😂😂😂😂 where would I be without the NHS......

I’ve only just got back home. I’ve had a hearing test and my hearing has deteriorated especially the right one....so I have to have proper ear moulds made again....I used to have these then they changed them to soft domes which are generic. So no new aids today - will take a couple of weeks for them to be made.
I had a mooch around between appointments which was lovely- would have been even lovelier if we had the shops we used to have. I went into Debenhams — I was surprised it was open. Anyway I got a flared top and a cardigan - both half price. So that was £25 I hadn’t planned spending.....better than the £50 it would have been. I love the Maine brand sold in Debs.....shall miss that when it finally goes. It was very sad to see it’s depleted state and the thing that got me was a section absolutely full of dummies that used to model the clothes....so sad. I wished the cashier luck finding a new job. She said there was nothing on the horizon for her.....who would have ever thought all the shops would be in this mess.
I actually sat down outside a cafe and was going to treat myself.....then I saw the price 😳😳 I got up and went to Greenalgh bought a sandwich, cuppa and cake and sat on a bench - got the lot for less than the sandwich would have cost in the cafe. I know there are overheads and wages  but £6 for a sandwich sitting on a table in the street.....
I walked home via the old shopping street nearer to me and went in the material shop. I’ve bought material for a top my friend gave me a pattern for. I couldn’t remember how much material it took and gambled on 2 1/2 yards.....it only took 1 1/2 so I should have enough for something else too.
I had to stop and have another drink en route home though as I was well and truly flagging. I used to walk that far do a full days work, come home sort the kids and make tea at one time. Not too keen on this getting used to a steadier pace.....that’s what the physio keeps telling me I have to do 😳😳
I was nearly home and saw an old lady looking a bit lost. I spoke to her and she said everything was weird.....she was frightened to go into her house as it was weird. I chatted a while and offered to go to her house with her. She said she was fine and told me to go. I wasn’t happy leaving her but she was getting agitated with my being there. I came home - which was only up the road - checked the name of the Ave she was on and phoned the police. They’re sending police with blue lights around to find her. Hope she is ok......I should have stayed and phoned the police whilst she was there rather than coming home but I know how quickly they can turn if they get agitated. Police asked me for a description of what she was wearing.....I went totally blank. Some witness I’d make 😲 must learn to take more notice. I got her name and address which I thought was pretty good for me.

Good job you found the lady before she wandered off. Hopefully she’s ok now. Your good deed for the day 😇

Thanks folks....I really felt for her.....she looked bewildered. Wish I’d have just gone around the corner and kept my eye on her whilst I phoned the police but I was wondering who was the best to phone....social services or police.....it was only a matter of 5 minutes....so hopefully the police being involved might get her the help she needs.
I was making tea.....left over pork and veg and somehow managed to spill a jug of gravy all over the bottom of the oven....I’d put a jug in to keep warm and knocked it over. It was too hot to do anything with so leaving it to cool and solidify and will tackle it tomorrow..........

    Thanks.
Good to see you INOD - hope life is treating you well.
I've just tackled the oven.....the bottom was virtually all covered in my beautiful roast pork gravy. Luckily there was just enough left for tea last night 👍 Walking away and leaving myself time to think was the best option last night - I was too tired to bend down and tackle it.  This morning I turned the oven up high so that it burned enough to go crispy but not smoking...let it cool enough that it wouldn’t burn me and got a fish slice underneath to scrape it. Then I wiped it out. Much much easier than I expected. That’s me done for an hour or so though. I’m taking heed of the physio and pacing myself 😊
I really need to tackle the rest of the house and pack the z beds up after my visitors last week...but I’ll do a bit each day.  I’m really surprised just how tired I was at weekend and I think it was the visitors not the vaccine as I was tired before I had it.
    Today......
dust living room and wipe kitchen tops then hoover.
Spend a little time outside pottering around or maybe just sitting making plans 😂😂
    Food wise -
breakfast - omelette with ham and mushroom
    dinner - ham salad
tea - more left over pork stir fried with mushrooms, bean sprout and onion with noodles and oyster sauce
snacks - banana, satsuma, strawberries. Crackers and cheese. 2 hi fi bars
I'm determined to get back into SW ways.
