Milann's life keeps getting in the way.......

I'm sorry to hear about your brother's illness Milann and hope he gets better soon. It's such a shame you can't see him.
It is complicated for you about work. It can be quite a tiring job and quite active as well dealing with children all day. I always do 10,000 steps at school even if I get a lift there and back. I know what you mean about you would miss the children though. It sounds like a swings and roundabouts situation to me, but I know that whatever happens you will make the best of the situation .
It must be difficult finding clothes to suit you. My sister had an operation on her tummy and has a big scar, plus her tummy muscles are damaged which makes her tummy stick out, so she always wears leggings and tunic style tops to skim over her tummy. She buys most of hers on eeb@y and always looks very nice.

So yesterday came and went in a flash. Relative in our bubble came around for a roast dinner and we had a walk. I was tired again last night and in bed at 9.I had a phone consultation with professor who did the op on my arm and he wants me to go and actually see him and have x-rays done. So it’ll be a trip out to the hospital which is an hours drive away.....how sad is it that you get excited about a day out at the hospital. I hope it’s a nice day as there is a lovely walk in a place called fairy glen a minute or so up the road from the hospital - just need to wait for an appointment to come through.
I haven’t spent any money since Thursday when I bought a couple of ingredients needed for the cake. So day 1 of February a NSD.....I want to count them this month and am aiming for 15 👍The decorating is finished but dh has been in work today - I was hoping he’d be at home so we could begin to move the shelving units back in.
ive spoken to the grandchildren today and been discussing colours for the room they use. They are quite excited about choosing and the general consensus is lilac....which is just as well as that’s the colour paint i was going to do. I quite fancy making some bunting with their names on......and many years ago I started a patchwork lilac cushion....me thinks I need to finish it. BUT FIRST we need to get all the stuff into the back bedroom 👍 I do like a plan.....drives dh mad as he says I’m always a step ahead of myself 😏😊😂January spends - £587.581 -

Today dh was working- I should have been getting on with recovering the chairs, which has come to a standstill but it was a beautiful day and I had to go out to collect a prescription from the chemist so I carried on to a local parkland for a walk. I’d been there a couple of weeks ago and watched a kingfisher as I’d had a coffee. I had decided to treat myself to a coffee again whilst having a rest before walking home. The coffee shop isn’t open on a Monday 😭 so I watched the ducks on the frozen pond.....no kingfisher today. It was lovely and peaceful though. I’ve just tried to attach a photo but it isn’t showing ☺️

It’s a horrible grey rainy day here and I can’t motivate myself to do anything. I’m pleased we don’t have snow though as we were on the boarder line of the weather maps last night as I watched the news.It would have been my brothers birthday today....maybe that’s why I’m feeling a bit meh. Ah well moping about won’t change things. Can’t believe it’s 28 years since he teased me🥲 think I might get wrapped up and go for a walk 👍January spends - £587.581

Well the sun tried hard to come out and I walked to the same place as yesterday. All the ice had gone from the pond. I bought a cuppa and sat watching the ducks getting their dinner by ducking and diving in the water which must have been iced over for a good few days. Talk about bottoms up - they must have been hungry since they couldn’t get to much of the water. Made me chuckle and passed a pleasant half hour. On the way home the heavens opened and I was dripping wet 🌧 needed to get changed when I got in.
I called in Morrison’s and bought some milk, cheese, bleach and a little pack of olives. I was really struggling carrying them because I’d walked. I’d forgotten I didn’t have the car......I heard a voice behind me and it was the lady from 2 doors down. She carried my bag for me 😁 talk about feeling like an old lady though 😳 but it was good to chat....she is lovely and passes quite a few toys over to keep here for the gks.January spends - £587.582 -
My workplace is at the side of a canal and I do miss walking along the towpath and seeing the ducks, geese, swans and moorhens. Especially in Spring when they’ve got their babies.Good timing that you bumped into your neighbour on your way home.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1
