We will have to live with it for many years SA......it’s got a 25 year guarantee......but I know a guarantee is only good if the company stays in business - that would take me to the ripe old age 87 😳😳 I think the cheaper one has a 15 year guarantee. Quite how they test these guarantees is a bit intriguing though as I’m pretty sure the materials used weren’t even invented 25 years ago. A good old sales incentive more than anything me thinks. I am very sceptical theses days 😂😂😂😂January spends - £587.582

We purchased a Wren kitchen (dark grey shaker) with quartz worktops. We didn't buy the handles, sink or tap for them as we found we had more choice shopping around (and a lot cheaper!). We also got the builder who did the extension to fit as he was half the price (then my husband tiled...!).2

We also had luxury vinyl flooring fitted as I had laminate in my flat and it bulged when water was spilled on it. We didn't want wood as it was out of price range, plus we have a dog. I thought the lvt wouldn't scratch, but my dog has decided to run full pelt in our kitchen and dig his claws in when he's realised he can't brake quick enough for the glass doors...2

Thanks Vixx - funnily enough I’m just looking at door handles elsewhere to bring the cost down 👍 and our builder will be fitting it. What colour worktop did you go for.....I’m thinking whitish with a fine grey vein.January spends - £587.582

We got arabescato and it's beautiful but easier to chip than I first realised.2

Definitely go with the one you really want. Can you imagine walking in there in 5 years time & still thinking I wish I'd gone with the other one? Floors are easy to cover again later. I have strips of carpet down over my flooring & every couple of years just rip it up & replace. 2 very clumsy people living here & eggs & curry etc spilt on the floor do no surface any good! But what are you having on the walls? I've found tiles a pain in the proverbial & wallpaper/painted are even worse.

Definitely go with your heart because like you say it's going to be your kitchen for years to come,My DD went with her head for her kitchen and she hates it now 😟 I'm another one who likes to be near the sea ,before we got ill we were going to our nearest beach yesterday but obviously didn't make it, I'm hoping in a couple of weeks time we will get there, our little dog loves it as well but can only go between October and March so we mainly visit in the winter, after her health scare this year I want to make sure she gets to go as much as possible 😊Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942

OBL I am so envious of you getting to see the sea as often as you do. My nearest seaside is between an hour and an hour and a half away. But my favourite seascape is Cornwall but it’s a 5/6ish hour drive.....we often make the journey part of the holiday stopping at different places so it’s hard to judge how long we spend travelling when we go down there. I do know a visit is long overdue - we haven’t been for over 3 years.
So bye bye to any ideas of a cruise or fancy holiday and hello new kitchen. We are going and putting a deposit on the kitchen when dh comes home from work.......and I’m going with my heart ❤️. I’m having a grey splash back behind the cooker and than white tiles and I’m playing with the idea of grey grout between the worktop and wall units.....but the verdict is still out on that. I’m having distressed wooden flooring vinyl on the floor. There won’t actually be much more wall on view but what there is will be painted white. The dining room part of the room will be painted white too......this will tie into my living room
(which I’m hoping not to have to decorate, as it’s only been done a couple of years - we have burnt orange flowered wallpaper on my chimney breast and stones coloured painted walls.....it’s an L shaped area now, so all needs to tie together) I’m hoping for a red kettle and toaster....but they might go on my Christmas list as that is definitely a want rather than a need 😂😂
Bad memory - that is exactly what we said - we can revamp the room by changing the flooring when the time is right next and we feel the need for change. If we go for tiles or wooden floor - we will be stuck.
So I’m going for it 😂😂😂 feeling very excited.....January spends - £587.582 -
