I went shopping yesterday for myself and relative. We’re taking it over today and I’ll do some jobs. They’re definitely letting more people into the shop as it didn’t feel much different to usual. I managed to get everything except eggs.
We went out for a walk later past the goose that has been sitting patiently on a nest of 5 eggs for the last couple of weeks. We were rewarded by the sight of 5 beautiful yellow fluffy goslings. They were quite an attraction. We detoured to an open all hours shop on our way home which I don’t usually bother with as it is quite expensive but I got free range eggs for us both so I’m happy with that....and they were only 10 p more than I usually pay. We’re just watching a re run of Fools and Horses.....it makes you realise how old it is as it’s in the old tv forma 😳January spends - £587.583 -
Went over to relatives on Sunday and I’d taken dinner for us....a roast turkey I’d had in the freezer since before Christmas. I cooked it all here and we ate it at a social distance after I’d done some jobs - changing the bed etc. It was rather delicious- I also made a rhubarb and ginger cake which was delicious....a Delia recipe for the ginger cake with the addition of ginger on the bottom my take on it.
Work from home has been good this week I even got carried away and worked yesterday evening too.We went for a walk yesterday evening and I popped into Aldi for eggs on my way home as I only managed half a dozen at weekend and I’d used 5 by Sunday evening as I’d baked.
Today after work I potted some bedding plants I’d bought a couple of weeks ago in the pots by my front door. It’s not same as I usually do but it is what I could get. I’m quite looking forward to having something different by my door. I need to go out and water them afterwards.January spends - £587.582 -
Your relative is lucky to have you looking after him, especially with the delicious sounding cake. When I’m at my normal place of work it’s by a canal and I’m really missing seeing all the ducklings, goslings, cygnets and the cutest of all the moorhen chicks - like little black pom-poms 💕I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

That should have said the addition of rhubarb on the bottom - the ginger was in the cake 😜 We’ve just eaten the last slice....I’m sorry it’s gone. Then I wonder why I don’t loose weight🤔
I’ve just watered my plants and am waiting for The A Word to start....I loved the last series.

My diary has vanished from my bookmarked post today too.I’ve had an hour reading and chatting to my gks today. It was lovely.
we went for a walk this evening the goslings are now swimming like gooduns ❤️ they are quite an attraction. We walked further to a park I’ve only ever passed in the car. We were out a little longer than usual.....we suddenly realised it was quarter to eight so tried to put a sprint in our step.....dh managed....I didn’t as I’ve only got one speed these days and it’s not fast. Anyway we wanted to get in before the NHS clap and I was really trying to hurrry. Then we realised it was Wednesday and not Thursday 😳🤪😂😂😂😂
I’m in work tomorrow for the day. I’ve got mixed feelings as I’ll be with staff and children I haven’t worked with before. But it’s 1 day and once I’ve done it once it’ll become easier and as long as the rules are followed, hopefully all will be well. I hope I sleep tonight....I’ll be paranoid about oversleeping!!!!🤞🤞I really need to shape myself and get up straight away when the alarm goes off 🤞🤞January spends - £587.582 -
