Milann's life keeps getting in the way.......

Pots were washed kitchen floor still waiting.....it’ll get done over the weekend. There’s only two of us and it’s not really that bad...I’d just got myself in a good routine when I was off work. It’ll all slip back into place when my hours are back to normal.
I went to SW this morning I’d gained but nowhere near as much as I’d expected. 1 1/2 lb on over Christmas and New Year and I didn’t deny myself anything so I’m happy with that. I’m still just under the weight I was when I rejoined. I was due at work so bought some cold meat and cucumber and sat in the car crunching a cucumber before I went in workI’d contemplated going to a little cafe that does a good poached egg but sometimes you have to wait a while and I didn’t want to be late for work....so I polished my SW halo:A on my way home I stopped by at the gym for 1/2 an hour and burned 250 calories. That’s my 3 visits this week :A When I got home dh fancied going to sp00ns for tea....so I ended up eating fish, chips and mushy peas - which I really enjoyed but wasn’t part of the plan so my halo well and truly slipped. I’ll need another 4 sessions at the gym to burn the calories from them off.....then I wonder why I don’t loose weight:o
Work was good again. I’m loving working with the child I’m with atm - a real cheeky character who pushes the boundaries but it’s all a game and complies quite easily in comparison to some of the other children I’ve worked with. I’ve got out of going outside at dinner time playtime by doing a craft club for a few children who have been struggling outside. So all is good on that front.
No plans for the weekend yet - just see what turns up... I’d better get the kitchen floor sorted first thoughJanuary spends - £587.580 -

Thanks - I’m being cautious with my exercise routine - pacing myself as my hip is still not right but nothing like it was a while ago. It would be very easy to sit back and do nothing to be honest, but I know after seeing certain friends and family how quickly that a lead to immobility in the long run. So heat pads and medication are my friends atm. I will not give in unless things become unbearable. So I’m feeling pretty smug and pleased with myself......but..... I’ve only been doing it a week :rotfl: let’s see what I’m doing in a couple of months;)
I love my job most of the time there are inevitable glitches but there’s never a dull moment..and lots of laughs...and when I look at some of the disabling things some of the children get on with, it puts life in perspective.
I’m working Monday morning this week as I have to go for the results of last weeks scan in the afternoon. It’s so much easier going to a local hospital rather than the one I go to for my arm which is an hours car ride away. This one is virtually next door to the gym so I can go for a swim and jacuzzi afterwards :T.....and it’s a world away from what I’m used to as it’s a private hospital (still NHS in my case) so no waiting and freebie coffeeJanuary spends - £587.580 -
Once the exercise becomes a habit it will be second nature and hopefully you'll start to see benefits. Fingers crossed your body won't protest.
It always helps when you enjoy your jobI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hope all goes well with your scan milann. Having a swim and soak in the jacuzzi afterwards sounds like just the ticket!:)Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

RETIRED: MAY 2021!!!!😀🎆

I’ve had a lazy weekend. Did some knitting - cleaned the rest of the house including my kitchen floor...it actually wasn’t as bad as I’d mustered up in my head:o. All I’ve got to do now is sort the toys in gks room, but since it’ll not be used for a good while it can wait. I went to Tesco and spent £15 but hopefully that’ll do for the week...might need some fruit by the end of the week.
It has been lovely having nothing planned as life seems to have been hectic recently. I’ve realised whilst being off the last 7 months how I need days with nothing planned - preferably with me in the house on my own...I hadn’t realised how much I need my own space at times...I love dh to bits - but getting used to his presence in my chill time after work on a semi-regular basis is taking some getting used to. I usually get in about 4.30 from work. Sometimes I watch catch up tv for an hour with a cuppa before getting tea for 6.30ish, sometimes I’ll throw the hoover around....now dh is at home more I’m not getting any of it. It’ll all fall into place in time.
My cc bill arrived the other day - I’m really pleased as I think it’s the lowest Christmas bill I’ve ever had. I used a lot of vouchers this year though which helped. I’d like to say I didn’t buy lots of food treats but I’ve still got a cupboard full of sweets and crisps - shows I didn’t need them. I still have 1 1/2 Christmas cakes to eat too. I can pay my cc off in full - I’ve often had to pay my Christmas one over 2 months. I’m on target not to go over for dh birthday too - which is later this month :T now THAT is a first :T:T:T
I was happy with January week 1 targets
January week 2 targets
-Use gym membership 3 times
- No gain at SW
-Carry on knitting
-Make an appointment at Sant@nder to shuffle accounts as interest rates are coming to an end
- keep on top of house
- find some home alone time to chill
Thanks for everyone’s comments and encouragement- it means a lot :beer:January spends - £587.580 -
All sounding good
