I’m so pleased I’m not in work full time as I’m absolutely shattered. The most I’ve done is make a bacon butty this morning- dh has done everything else. I’ve watched catch up Corrie, knitted a couple of half hours and been playing word games on here. I’ve got a cold sore on my lip which I’m hoping isn’t the start of something.
I’ve got an MRI scan tomorrow morning at 9.30. I think I’ll drive there and depending on time before work go for a swim and take dinner to eat before I start work at 12. At least this hospital visit will be short and sweet - 14 years ago today I was having 6 hour surgery on a perforated intestine.....6 weeks later with a couple of spells in ICU, followed by HDU a further op, blood transfusions, pneumonia, MRSA and a colostomy bag.....I eventually came home..... That’s when I realised what a mess my finances were in- a drastic LBM - but I got through it all. I clocked the date earlier and it made me think... Don’t ever want to return to that time of my life - I’ve turned that particular corner.....January spends - £587.580 -
You’ve really turned things around though it was a pretty major lbm. Hope the scan went well today. What an awful time you had 14 years ago it just shows how much trauma the body can recover from though.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Hope the scan is over. I hate them although compared what you went through 6 years ago I don't suppose it is too big a deal.I always feel like I need a treat after anything hospital related. I hope you have something nice lined up.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

The scan was no problem - I was in the scanner about 40 minutes. I got there about 10 minutes early - just in time for my freebie coffee and I was back home in an hour. Just long enough to make my dinner to take to work. I went for a swim on my way home I did 20 lengths...the most I’ve done since the original fracture to my elbow. I’m going to give aqua aerobics a go tomorrow evening- they have a very small dumbbell which makes it easier- so I’ll ask if I can use that. Food wise was good yesterday
just need to keep it up.
I called in Ald! on my way home and stocked up on cold meats, salads and milk £14 spent but that should be it for the week.January spends - £587.580 -
Glad the scan went ok and well done on the top up shop x0

Not much to report. I really don’t like working afternoons. No time to do anything much in the mornings- I seem to start things not finish them and don’t get back to them after work....I need to get back full time and get some sort of routine going. Don’t know how I will ever get into working and house work again..the house looks like a major disaster area.
On that note I’m going to go and wash the pots and sweep the kitchen floor.January spends - £587.580 -
You certainly went through the mill all those years ago. Well done on getting to where you are today. Good news about your scan.
Hope you got the pots washed!:AFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
