I’m sure it will be the same as WW and you don’t pay once you’re at goal. That what spurred me on 😆 I’m now free as long as I stay 5lbs within goal.

Just joining in the weight loss discussion as on my daughter and son in laws suggestion I am going to my first ever SW meeting next week to see about signing up to see if I can lose the last troublesome half a stone I need to  lose to make sure my size 12 clothes fit comfortably.  I gained weight over the last lockdown and lost it last  summer but just cannot shift the last half stone in spite of sensible eating and exercising at least four times a week. I know what I have to do to lose it but just cannot seem to motivate myself to shift the last 8 pounds.  Apparently you don't pay if you are at target? I am hoping the MSE side of me will spur me on to get to target if for no other reason than I can get some of the SW choc biscuits my friend keeps offering me which are delicious and not have to pay to attend meetings. I am also hoping it is easier to follow than my present system which is calorie counting and takes forever to record everything I eat and drink.

Great that you are managing to save now the debts are gone and you enjoyed your cuppa with your friend.
    I salute you  :)

You definitely don’t pay 3 lb either way of your target weight with  sw and if you go out of target range you get a weeks grace to get back in range.
I bought a 12 week countdown which finished a couple of weeks ago. I’d told myself I only needed to loose 1 lb a week then I’d never pay again……I was up and down every week and had lost 1 lb by the end of it. Think that was the final straw in my sw  coffin for me for now…..I might end up heading back when you can sit in group without a mask….my headspace just isn’t right atm…..i know it works because I’ve done it before…..and I’ve seem folk loose 8/9 stone 👏👏👏 hats off to them
So as a part experiment I’ve eaten exactly what I’ve wanted this week…..including 3 lots of chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. I’ve put 2 lb on……soooooo I’ve proved I need to do something and not just pig out whenever I fancy it. Everything in moderation 👍
The something I’ve decided to do is
    - keep to the sw habits that are ingrained now……skimmed milk, 5% mince and 1/3 speed (most veg and some fruit)
    -  I’m going to vary my diet more as I’ve become a tad samey of late. I want to introduce more beans and pulses but will keep an eye on my tummy issues and any affect this may have.
    - get back to either walking or swimming at least 5/7 days. Short distances as still having some issues but aim to gradually increase rather than go at it like a bull in a China shop putting myself out of action after a long walk
    - snack on the right things….fruit over sweets most of the time - I love strawberries and nectarines which are in season now 😃
    - remember 80% home made food 20% treats
    - I’m going to weigh in every Saturday and record it on a graph inside my wardrobe
I know I haven’t got a lot to lose but like I’ve said before 1 stone of books is a weight I’d struggle to carry……but that’s what I’m carrying every day 😳 in excess body weight 😏I need to remember this 😏

I’d  fully intended to look at finances yesterday but it didn’t happen as I was out longer than I’d intended with my friend. That will be Mondays job when I’m in by myself. Realistically though not sure how much I can do until the decision about the retirement through ill health goes ahead or not and I know how much I’ll be getting.

I’m not sure why but feeling a bit flat today. I’ve had a busy week and seen 4 different lots of friends or family that I haven’t seen in over a year….it has been lovely so no idea why I’m feeling bleugh…..

Im pleased dh shoulder has improved greatly, he’s been using a spray to help so was probably a pulled muscle rather than frozen shoulder……not tackling moving the stones and rubble in the garden this weekend though. Nothing much is planned for today but tomorrow we will probably go to ds house for a Father’s Day curry. I’d planned a trip to Costc@ to stock my freezer up but there still doesn’t seem much room so that might wait until next week……

Sounds like a great plan. I’m not going back to my WW group until it’s mask free and no limit to numbers. I only used to go to chat to people and pick up a few choc bars and tips. I do miss it 😢

That’s why I went SA - more for the social side. I wasn’t keen on the zoom groups and I went to 1 group where we sat in masks……I didn’t enjoy it at all.
We've just been out for a walk along a different part of the old railway way walk where we walked last week. Not sure what’s up with me I was pleased to get back home….I was really tired 🤔 just went through the motions of 1100 steps
Breakfast - was egg and toast
dinner - chicken and salad pitta
tea - Jamie Oliver pork and beans from the freezer with rice with mushroom, onion and peppers
snacks were satsuma, strawberries and a Jammie dodger

A bit of pottering in the garden today, I need to find a home for some gifted plants from a neighbour before heading to ds house for a Father’s Day curry. Another NSD but I’ve lost count of how many I’ve done this month.
