Many Aldi lines are seasonals, so that's why they go and then reappear. Not sure what's going on with the bread flour though, I had some stashed but have now run out, boo hiss. I have queried its disappearance with Aldi and asked for an email response.0 -

The disappearance of the Aldi bread flour (and yeast) was the prime reason for our 'rediscovery' of Lidl (where they still sell it) - and I have to say it's improved considerably on the way it used to be.
Aldi was knocking it into a cocked hat, but that's no longer the case.0 -
Id love lidl NI to stock strong flour and yeast, I'm always asking but it's still not made an appearance.
If they did, I'd not have to go to tesco or sainsbury every month or so0 -
Sadly it's as I feared
Thank you for contacting Aldi Customer Services regarding the availability of the strong flour.
I have checked the availability for the bread flour and must advise you that this product is a seasonal product and only available in stores during the Winter (season).
Please accept our apologies for any disappointment caused. We will certainly ensure that your comments are logged for the relevant team and taken in to consideration in the future.
Once again, thank you for contacting Aldi Customer Services and we look forward to your continued custom.
Aldi, big error. You are losing customers with this.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Two good items I've been using from Aldi -
Aldi toothpaste (Dentitix I think it's called). 55p a tube in sensitive, works just as good as my "usual" sensitive toothpaste which on offer costs me around £2 so it's what 26% of the price and works just as good. It is a little runny and I'm not mad on the taste but I can live with it for 55p
Aldi women's deodorant. This is actually the best deodorant I've ever used, I swear quote a lot and this keeps me dry and fresh all day. 75p a tin, half the price of my usual.:money::rotfl::T0 -
I agree about the strong bread flour - but then again it's done me a carb-sparing favour!
It's easy enough to stock up come October. I'll clear a spot in the freezer in preparation.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

P
what a whole load of nonsense. Any other stores can stock it all year round. Bread (nor the flour used to bake it) is a seasonal product any longer, not for a century or so?First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0 -

Maybe they have more lines of summer seasonal products and need the space to display them on the shelves therefore temporarily halt the supply of lesser selling products. These stores are limited on space of what they can provide.0 -
Aldi has just opened in my town, really happy as I've been waiting for 3 years! Loving their versions of actimels etc.
So now I have Lidl AND Aldi. What would one advise to avoid at Aldi?Money money money.
