Good and Bad Buys from Aldi & Lidl *Do NOT Expire Please*

I don't know what others have experienced but concerning electricals sold as specials I had to return a few to Aldi over the years (not working selfie-stick, a blender that caught fire!). A television I still have does have a weird fault where the sound cuts out in certain frequencies (it's not used much so I can cope with that). I never had any issues with Lidl's electricals, always found them lasting way over the usually 3 years warranty period.First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0

Well I hope so, but AIUI we only gain an extra 132 square metres of shopping space - which doesn't sound much!
Well in old English that size is 60 feet by 20 feet. That is at least 4 shelf isles worth of space.
The old one I was talking about in my town had about that size added to it. It did make a big difference to the floor area and what extra product was available.
In fact it is better laid out than the newer one and I prefer to go to the older one because of that.
And the staff are a lot better there too.
Think positive! The more I live, the more I learn.

The more I grow, the more I see.
The more I see, the more I know.
The more I know, the more I see,
How little I know.!!0 -

The DVD player I had from Aldi was a bit iffy, in that it shared some remote codes with my Toshiba TV.Stompa0

My heated airer was returned to Aldi, on account of the fact it was completely useless.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Almat washing tablets do the job....but I am so sick of them disintegrating before I get them in the tablet net
On the other hand, the sun is shining and I have done a mid-week wash in the knowledge it will be dry when I get back the eveningValue-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Aldi "Alpenmark" Weiner Schnitzel 300g pack2 - £1-75.
Oh these are good!
Strawberries (Spanish) 400g at £1-35 are a good buy too.
(Yes I KNOW they aren't the same as British "in-season" strawbs.)
LIDL speciality British apples 4-pack at 59p are a great buy too - and there are a few varieties to choose from. (I got Nicoter.)0 -
Aldi Thins - like Ryvita Thins, but much better VFM.
The sesame seed ones are virtually identical to the Ryvita equivalent, and I have the Cheddar & Black Pepper ones in the cupboard, yet to be tried.
Be aware that the nature of the product means that there will be broken pieces inside the pack (same is true of the Ryvita ones).0
