i have tried to get into the router settings this way and its nothing like what it says it should be like on the linksys site here http://linksys.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/linksys.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=3968&p_sid=6EBjFoKi&p_lva=3967&lid=3980637401B04# Mine mine has no buttons to click on and no headings just blue round the edge white in the middle with linksys in the top left hand corner. All its got is some numbers and gmt usa canada at the bottom. Cant do anything in the page at all it has no save button either, why would it be like this?

Do you mean of what I get when I go to the http://192.168.1.1/ page? Not sure how to put a screen print here but I'll try. Is it safe to put it on here with the numbers in it and the name ect? I mean can anyone do anything with the numbers, they start 255 in one set and 192 in another is that something to do with subnet mast or something? not that I have a clue what one is

I got to that site through linksys as far as I can tell anyway
    Thanx

  • u just need to hide ur email address. and other personal settings 192.168 is ur internal IP that doesnt matter and 255.255..... is oyursubnet and that doesnt matter either.

on the top of your keyboard above delete there is a button "print scrn" or prt scr or soemthing press that when u want to take a screen shot of ur pc

then go to paint paste it. save it as a jpg file and go to
    http://imageshack.us/

and upload the file, then copy and paste 'forum thumbnail 1

all the writing in that box. that ok?

What browser are you using? Some routers are fussy!
 Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:
  • no u need to save it in paint. its a lot of messing and huge file size in word. only take u 2 secs. then we can see your problem.

some browsers maybe fussy, but still wouldnt change the physical look of the web based router.
