Slept very badly last night  I had 2 coffees after 4pm so that may be connected? Anyway, tossing and turning and even a nightmare thrown in. I’m stopping coffee after midday from now on even though it feels so middle aged to do so.:o

    WFH today…

Tired and overeating, not the healthy stuff either…bad as I have so many good things to eat :o

    A bit of food prepping/cooking

Lentils to add to too thin soup
Pumpkin, black bean and beef burgers (a few frozen too)
    Beef, lentil and veggie chilli
White and black quinoa, wild rice and red rice
Raw salad of radish, watercress, carrot and beetroot

    Drudgery

    Washing up X1, X1, X1, X1 (I so need a dishwasher one day)
    Dry and pack away X1, X1, X1
    Clean cooker top
    Clean large chopping board
    Clean grill
    Cleaned toilet
    Cleaned bathroom
    Clean dining table
Hoover dining room and kitchen floors

That’s why I like this space as I thought I hadn’t achieved so much and yet I have!

I hope you had a good day

What a difference a full 8 hours of quality sleep makes :) And a glimmer of sunshine too. Windy and perfect for clothes drying :)

I burnt orange and rosemary oil today whilst I worked. :)

Winter gloves, hat and comfort blanket washed and dry and another wash load too :)

I approached someone I know to refer me to someone else in the creative industries to see if they have any freelance work. If I get it I might have to do the first few gigs free to earn a reputation first. But if I can get into this it will help next year when I have paid off debt and can drop to 4 days a week. WATCH THIS SPACE

I called to check if my council take away old cookers and they do, so when new one comes I’ll order a rubbish collection instead of paying £15 for this to be done. They can also remove another 4 items for free so that will coincide with garden clearing when we have a dry patch

I did a face scrub, steam, face-pack and moisturise and plucked my eyebrows. A BIG improvement. (Thanks to Orange Ena for introducing me to face pack Friday) I haven’t done this for months…:o

Another NSD as WFH again :)

A family member called to thank me for something I sent her in the post

A good day for me to end the week
    Welcome to the weekend

I’ve been feeling a bit low this week, I think because I’ve spent too much time alone. I’m allowed to WFH 2 days a week (fine) and a whole week a month too. I don’t want to give this week up but it can be isolating. I guess it helps me clarify my ideal working pattern when the debt is paid off which is a 4 day week, 2 WFH and 2 days in the office.

I am meeting a friend tomorrow and buying my cooker after so many years. All good :)

When I am down I plan for better times. ;)

I am planning to increase my income to pay off debt faster but also to make my future work pattern more reflective of my skills. The tutoring P/T has been well received by the college and they have written to say don’t worry if I don’t hear within the next few weeks as they are working on their new programmes and they will be in touch. My proposal is now with the head of the college. ;)

This morning I heard back from a creative industry professional and she sent a copy of the lovely reference and the request she sent on my behalf. :) If this ends positively I will gain some experience and this too will turn into paid work that I can do next year and beyond. My ideal (in 5 years or so) is to work 3 days a week, tutor part-time and freelance creatively

It feels good to write this down.

Even if this debt free journey is tough AND IT IS. I really appreciate being able to plan for a better tomorrow.

Today I will be cleaning a little, cooking a little, reading, lighting candles, decluttering, burning orange oil, planning, reflecting, making phone calls, eating healthy food, listening to uplifting music and generally fighting off the gloom :)

    Enjoy your Sunday

I like to see that despite being down, toy still manage to focus on the positives and future plans. It'd be easy to self sabotage!

All the best for your cooker purchase- I wish you both a long and fruitful relationship together.

Sounds like work plans are going well too and the future holds w bit of variety for you! Sounds like a lovely balance to aspire to.
