I agree with Rosa, your meal plans are amazing. I'd love to see some pics of the finished dishes :) And thanks for the tip of freezing then grating chillies. I never buy them as they'd go to waste.

I hope you find that inner confidence DIA. I think you're fantastic and inspiring so I hope you realise that too. You've paid off your mortgage, you make amazing food, your thread is a fab read, you're getting rid of stuff, you're exercising, you're paying off your loan. Lots and lots of positives that should give you confidence. And you've realised that if you don't do something, you feel like you've let yourself down. You've recognised that behaviour and you can work on it rather than just repeating it again and again. We're all work in progress at the end of the day. Sorry, it's late and I'm waffling. Basically, you're awesome :rotfl::)

    Have a fab week x

Thanks Orange Ena, MT and Rosa. I really appreciate all the lovely comments. I’m not sure I see myself that way Orange Ena, but I wish I did. I’m not sure I know how to get pictures on my posts but I can look into it. I’m glad I posted my half formed ideas about self confidence. I’m going to work on building my confidence. I thought confidence was a personality trait like stubbornness or perfectionism but it isn’t as I had it once but it has diminished. I think becoming MF helped and I know becoming DF will help too.

Yesterday I went to get shopping. As I lugged very heavy bags home on one of our sunniest days I realised I still do not have this right. It was exhausting. I want my Sunday's back too! Plus my lovely train station ticket office man told me the other day sometimes I look really tired! He is Indian and so doesn’t have the normal British politeness. I mention this because sometimes I am tired. It needs to stop! Pay day in 9 days so this time I am ordering more on line, all the heavy stuff. Yes, it is cheaper in Ald1 but I can’t carry stuff anymore and saving 15p a tin on kidney beans isn’t that important, so I’ll take the hit. Also, Aldi has a 6 bottle of wine box that I am also buying. (I hope this lasts well into the Autumn) Also hoping I don't become a lush :p

When I am debt free I do want a car again, just a little one so I can pick up shopping and visit people late at night at my own convenience and shop in Lid1 and Ald1:)

Reading Rosa’s diary I realise I probably can get my garden back in control as she seems to be tackling hers to great success, so today I am off to do what I can

So my last cup of tea, then off to work…

Have a roaring start to your week people :)

:rotfl: I'm not sure you'd call it a great success if you could see it at present, DIA, but it is at least less overgrown now even if it's still untidy because it's full of garbage bags and the still unhappy plants!

I so didn't want to start doing it that I went right back to FlyLady baby steps and actually went out to the garden with a timer set for 15 minutes. I told myself it would be better than nothing and if it was a total nightmare I could do 15 mins at a time with half hour breaks in between. But once I got going I just kept resetting the timer because I could see it was making a difference.

    And I agree with Ena, you're awesome :kisses3: :T

    Aww, thanks Rosa
I am going to do 30 minutes in the garden again today.
What I realised is overalls would be really helpful in aiding me to get stuck in. It's funny how the right clothes help me when doing outdoor work

I am changing. Readers tell me but sometimes I don't notice, but even my language has changed. I was shopping with my mum after we went to lunch. She was buying a dress and encouraging me to buy one too. ‘No,’ I said, I’l leave it. I don’t need a dress’ She looked at me really strangely as if I’d said something odd. ‘Need?’ she repeated, clearly confused.

    Home
    Washing done and online
Dining room/Work room slowly emerging beneath crazy mess!

    Decluttered
    A large tin
blue ray discs (put on gumtr33 and no response so in CS bag)

    Food
Learnt prunes have 30% sugar and raisins 70% so now all my recipes that included raisins will be substituted with shredded prunes. My blood sugar will thank me.

    Debt
I’ve just had my debt statement. I’m on target. As far as I can see they add the interest after they take my payment so it has almost a month to add to the debt and accumulate interest. I am going to change the way I tackle this debt. I will make my monthly payment and then set up a standing order to pay the interest when it is due a few days later. I will be paying an additional £76 a month, so a total of £876. The only place to get that back, to make up for this increase is through food or travel, so I will work on (yet another) budget.

I’m contacting my bank to set up this additional standing order today.:)

I’m going to call my telephone provider to see if I can get a reduction. :)

My Tesc0 mobile phone bill is already cheap but there is a cheaper deal so I am going to see if I can get the cheaper deal. It’s only a difference of £2.50 a month, but as they say themselves, ‘every little helps’:)

I hope the day is going well for all MSE folk

    Thanks Mila :)

I’m beginning to bore myself so chances are I’m boring you too. :o However, it helps to get things straight to write them down…

I called my provider for phone and broadband. I can have 3 months completely free, this would make up for the increase in landline that will happen in September, but I would need to be in a 12 month contract. I have told them to record the offer and I’ll think about it. I am hesitating because I am CONTRACT PHOBIC. Before this diary I would not have called them, but I read other people's diaries and I am copying them :money:

I’ve just ordered my online shop for next week. It’s a different approach as I am spending more to hopefully keep me out of the shops and prevent me lugging stuff home from the shops at the weekend. :)

The plan is to use Tuesday mornings before my WFH day to shop for fresh stuff. I can cycle and get my exercise quota sorted before the day has even begun.

Wednesday should always be a planned NSD

Thursday should be a planned LSD

Sunday should be a planned NSD

    So, 8 NSDs and 4 LSDs a month :)

This is my plan to reclaim Sunday as a relaxation day and to make life easier. I am debt busting but I don’t have to feel like a beast of burden while I do it :)

    Have a lovely evening people

thanks for stopping by brizzled :)

a WFH day so relatively stress free. I cycled after work for a small shop so i can make a salad for lunch tomorrow as i am in the office. lunch made and ready now. i ate crisps today and feel fat and bloated (what came first the chicken or the egg?) :( i worked in the front garden weeding and sweeping for 45 minutes :)

    decluttering
    cushion cover
    poster
    a cushion
a bag full of old paperwork
    small peg shelf
    budget chisel
    7 highlighters

    mse
got new phone/bb deal and saved £70
completed and sent off an official form financial form

    food shopping
i have been conning myself. this month I’ve been tracking every time I food shop and i’m shocked to realise i’ve been overspending on my food budget MASSIVELY. what I do is spend my pocket money on food shopping too, so i am spending double my food budget

    housework
    cleaned bathroom
    washing up
cleaned 2 doors and top of frames

    holiday
i should get away with financing my day to day spending and food by transferring my food budget to another location. i’m going to allow myself a £5 a day food budget as i am on holiday. i can walk everywhere in cornwall so the travel budget can be my holiday spends :)

i hope you had a happy hump day :) (and on that note off to check MT's diary)

A busy day as I went into the office. Travel was tiring and a bit of a stress event but hey ho. i enjoyed work today :)

Work have agreed I can WFH for 4 days once a month and 2 days on the remaining weeks. I am very happy with that. I think they have been more than fair. This means I save £15 once a month. It also means I can really focus on chores and bulk cooking and get ahead on the week I am WFH. If I ever get the house repairs rolling I can use this WFH to monitor tradesmen. I can be home for deliveries too. :)

When my debt is repaid If I can afford it, I'd like to consider working 4 days working with 2 days in the office and 2 days out. That will give me a creative day once a week and is something to look forward to. :)

I posted an official form off today that helps my future self ;)

I feel my spending is going up again. I am particularly shocked by my food spending. Looking back I used to log every spend daily. I am going back to that. It keeps me accountable. If I was doing that my food shopping would have become apparent earlier. Orange Ena does this. I have to confess I copied her

Talking of spending, I bought 2 Tweedmill lap blankets. They were reduced in Waitr0se, half price at £9 each. They are vintage and recycled pure new wool. Even with the reduction, one was not wrapped up it was just loose so I asked for £2 off and got it! I wouldn’t have done that before becoming part of this community. The wrapped one will be a Christmas pressies and I’ll keep the other one :)

I bought organic chicken wings to go in a Thai curry. I like buying very cheap cuts of very good poultry

I had a coffee in Ner0 today. I don’t go often but need to watch it doesn’t become a habit again

I cancelled my online shop. I’m going to go the month without it as I’m in Cornwall for most of it

A good day for me :)
I hope you had a good day reader and if not there is tomorrow :)
