What a difference a day makes. Yesterday good intentions. Today I had a blip. This evening I paid for my prescription for antibiotics and then went to health shop where I coughed up £22 for a course of probiotics that are supposed to mitigate against the antibiotics a bit. Then some organic veggies and some very dark G&B set me back another £10. So £42 spent in the blink of an eye
It’s a lot. But the gratitude bit is being able to. A few years back I was ill but I couldn’t take a prescription to the chemist because I did not have the money to pay for it.:)
A hard day. Kept working. Really feeling the need to stop everything and get off this treadmill for a week but would feel guilty going off sick. I’ll see how I feel tomorrow.
I might book next Thursday and Friday off before I crash
3 good things
Pay day tomorrow and my debt will reduce
I live in a country where I can see a GP for free and get medication cheaply. I love the NHS
My appetite is decreasing so my weight will be too
I’m doing ok (ish) and ok (ish) will have to do
Hope you at least achieved ok (ish) today too

If you feel any worse, just take the time off. You won't be able to work at full par anyhow. As for the probiotic, I always take acidophilus with an antibiotic. It wards off unsavoury side effects such as that which shares its name with a speckled breasted bird. For me,that's worth its weight in gold. Take care.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Oh INOD we are exactly in synch. I just called in work sick as I thought I wouldn't be working to capacity and there isn't left in my tank. I'm sitting with a cup of tea and was feeling a little guilty so it's good to get external confirmation that is the right thing to do. And, the probiotic I spent a fortune on was indeed acidophilus as that bird visits me whenever I take antibiotics too. Thank you :AIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I’ve had a few snoozes during the day and feel so, so much better. It was such a good decision to stay home today.:)
A NSD, some decluttering, pottering, sorting…
My debt is now £18,044 because I made a payment today. I had a crazy thought. I have already decided to pay an additional £81 a month to debt to cover interest. If I could find another £100 a month I could repay this debt in 18 months instead of 24. Is there a way to do that without feeling it too much?
From September I will be WFH 1 week a month=SAVING £25
The 2 C/T months I don’t pay =£210 or £17.50 a month=SAVING £17.50
£20 off my monthly pocket money so I have £15 a week instead of £20=SAVING £20
Reduce fuel bill payments by £10=SAVING £10
Reduce phone contract by £2.50 a month=SAVING £2.50
TOTAL=£75
I am £25 short of my £100 target. I’m loathe to give up my £25 treats jar, or trim my newly trimmed food budget as I will notice them both and feel impoverished.
I’ll keep the interest repayment the same even though it will be reducing so that should deal with the additional £25.:)
Then I looked at my new DF date and it takes me up to February 2018. :T
I will need another £1,600 in order to clear the debt by Christmas 2017.
So far I have sold only £57 worth of stuff but if I could sell bits and pieces more frequently? Add annual pay rise and a bit of overtime here and there and I could do it. So, aiming to be DF by next Christmas. I want to begin 2018 debt free. I really do.
I hope you had a good day reader

If you do that, the cost of the interest should come down as well, shouldn't it?Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Back to work today. Still not 100% so tired, but I feel better today than I felt yesterday. It’s all onwards and upwards.
The not so good news is I have been spending on bits of food and snacks here and there and what with my expensive probiotics and prescription costs I have spent more in 2 days than I have in a week.
I need to get a grip
I am not having many NSD’s at all. Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday will be NSD days next week
Tonight I will check all spending over the past few days and put it on the budget sheet and get back on track
Tonight I will set my spending allowances for Cornwall
Tonight I will set up a S/O for my debt overpayments. It will be £150.
MESSAGE TO SELF… THIS I WILL ONLY WORK IF I STAY ON TRACK AND DON’T SPEND LIKE I DONT HAVE DEBT…
Although I’ve been financially fickle over the past few days this new DF goal has motivated me. I keep thinking how, if I can pay almost £1,000 towards debt now, think how much I will have available in 2018?
Welcome to the weekend!

Sorry to hear you've been poorly DIA. You've got me thinking that maybe I should start a small savings pot for my repeat prescriptions because when DD leaves school/college I will have to pay for them again. If I can put a little away now it won't be such a big shock.
Well done on the new budget and next December will be here before you know it.

Yesterday was work and a LSD. There were bargains in Waitr0se at lunchtime but I avoided them. Determined to just use the money I have in my purse from here on in. The next time the debit card comes out will be when I am Cornwall in a week’s time.:)
OK, so I still haven’t worked out a way of not spending Sunday doing drudgery. So, listening to podcasts whilst drudging. It makes it all a little more bearable.:)
washing-up, drying, packing away x1 x1
washing done and outside drying
cleaning and fridge organisation
meal planning
Today I am eating:
yoghurt, seeds, blueberries
cold grilled cod (leftover from yesterday)
lentil and veggie soup
chicken salad
dark chocolate and a few too many chocolate truffles
Tea of the day? Earl Grey rooibos
Aromatherapy oil of the day? Grapefruit
I will be checking back in later with a progress report.
I hope you are having a happy Sunday
