    Thanks Rosa :A

And thanks Orange Ena :D I surprised myself with the dining/work room floor too!

Yesterday I decluttered a whole bag of stuff :)

I threw away my cheap blender today. Another example of buying cheap and it being so rubbish I end up binning it :(

The first thing I did this morning was declutter a plate by dropping it. One way of getting stuff out of the house.

The peonies on my dining table were buds and are now opening. Before this debt journey I would have gone to Waitr***for flowers and although I got them reduced I rarely got away without spending £4-£6. Now I cut something from the garden instead for free

I haven’t picked up Lid* special buys yet so I’ll cycle there and pick up veg/fruit later today

My gym collects my last payment this month, then I’m free and I get that money back. I am looking for free exercise opportunities. I realise I can walk and cycle and I will… I’d like a fitbit, but that will have to wait until August.

I like communal exercise too. I found a free pilates class at the library on one of my days off. It is a bus away but near some nice cafes and a posh charity shop and a Waitr*** where I can get a free coffee, so I’m going to try that out once this gym membership finishes. If I like the class, I’ll take a book on the bus and make that my treat/chill-out morning.

A creative project day today, so off to get set up for that.

    Have a good day :)

Yay for free flowers and releasing gym money :)

I agree about buying decent quality kitchen gear. I have several Kenw00d gadgets that I've picked up on sale and they have lasted years - I like them because they remind me of gran and mum, whose Chefs are still going after 40+ years :) .

Thanks Rosa :)You're right. There's something nostalgic and lovely about older kitchen gadgets. I'm always on the look-out for old utensils too. Thinking of a little Kenwo** food blender as it has good reviews. :)

I have found yoga, circuits and zumba to replace my gym membership. Unbelievably all 3 classes are free :T:T as they are funded by the sports council until next year. They are 7-8pm which is better as it keeps my rest days free. :)

The classes are also on home-based days so I can eat my main meal at lunchtime and have soup when I get back. It also ensures I watch less TV :T I'm going to start on Monday.

It's within a big gym so I can shower there too. :)

It just shows what is possible with a little research :money:

A working day for me, but I am WFH.

I still haven't cycled to Lid*, so trying again today.

I defrosted some chilli and will have salad and millet today :)

Have a good Saturday reader X

I got to Lid* after all, this morning as planned.

Thinking about pay day. I’ve been on my spreadsheet and once again and it is another very tight month even though I haven’t overspent. I am constantly surprised and a little disappointed every time I discover that. You would think I’d know this is how it is…

    Decisions made:

]I’m not going to do a big shop this month at all.

I’m going to do the envelope system this month too.

I plan to cycle to Ald* weekly this month and I’m setting myself a budget of £30 a week, including household and beauty although I hope to spend under and build up a small reserve for treats

I’m going to age my money like I did last month, so even though I am paid on Wednesday, I’m going to try and avoid shopping for food until Monday 30th May. That means shopping from home for 9 days. I’m pretty sure I can do that.

I need new shoes and tights again (the other ones are for work/walking and very everyday, although lovely) for the launch party.

My dental hygienist appointment is going to be bumped to next month and stretched from 3 months to 4 (please do't let my teeth fall out from being poor).

I’ve cut one of payments due in half and will make it up in August when I have a little more income

Instead of a weekly pass I’m going to get a monthly pass as I have loads of appointments all month

This is boring I know but I need to keep track. I’m feeling a bit resentful today that I am even spending Saturday night doing this. I know, I only have myself to blame. I know, chin up and all that

    Have a lovely Saturday reader

I completely sympathise with boring but essential - having just cost myself £30 through forgetting to cancel something :( - but you are at the beginning of your journey and getting your systems in place. I think you're doing really well, and hopefully things will get a little more elastic as you go.
