Hurrah! Well done you. And definitely do celebrations :D

Did you look at FlyLady? Doing 15 mins in one room between other things feels doable and like control!

Thanks Beanielou and Rosa. You are right about the 15 minute sessions. I’m going to go back to that to try and keep on top of things. I have a little timer. Thanks for the reminder.

My dining room/work room is CLEAN. Glass polished. Fresh peonies on the table and floor mopped with disinfectant. Feels really very nice. :T:T:T:T:T

What I realise is this room is multi functional so it gets messy very quickly. I realise I need a few box files, one for work and the other for creative stuff. Then, if I pack away after a session of whatever it is, I should fare better. I decluttered paperwork. I got rid of a really nice tin and some other bits and bobs from this room. It all looks so clear and organised and nice. Now to keep it this way

    Also done:

    Washing and dried nicely outside

Mop head in the washing machine

Dishes washed (but more to do)

    Healthy food made

I do want to cut the grass this evening as long overdue and it’s due to rain tomorrow. Even if I don’t manage the grass I’m a happy bunny

Aired the rooms and lit a candle (makes such a difference) :)

    Decluttered magazines

I worked from home today :)

Kitchen is a bit of a bomb site but I will tackle that with the extra time not having to travel

    An hours creative work too:)

I haven't spent any money either. Nope. Nada.

I hope your day went well too

    I only cut the grass!

It hadn't been cut this year and was thigh length:o now it has been cut and my gardening bin is completely full. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes.

My neighbours probably think I'm annoying but it doesn't happen very often...

Exhausted now so off to bed

    Hello DIA,

I've finally had a chance to catch up on some diaries, and look how well you're doing? Excellent stuff. Well done on getting the kitchen floor sorted. I have those blocks with things too!

I smiled at your grass! It reminded me of a joke my Dad used to say. It's about a rare tribe of people who live in tall grass and are around 3ft tall, named The Hellawi Tribe. When asked how they got that name, it's because you occasionally see their heads pop up from over the tall grass shouting "where the hell are we" :D

I also have to agree that living for 27 months AND paying off your debts rather than just debt busing for the 18 months is the better sounding option. We can all see that you won't lose focus, and the 27 month plan will help teach you a better lifestyle that you can maintain for the long term, whereas the 18 month plan will be a relief to step back from and you could go on a major spend binge.

I have a feeling I would like your dad as that really tickled me :)

Re the 27 months instead of 18. I think that's right and as I relax into my situation and adapt, I don't think it will be too bad after all..:)

    Thanks MT :A

I cycled to Lid* after a day of working at home. I bought a few nice things like nuts, an avocado and a bottle of nice wine. Before starting this journey I bought wine with my general shopping as a matter of course. Now I do not because I can see how expensive it is. Today, I bought wine, but it so rare and I am glad of this change. This is the sort of thing I do on payday usually because I have been so deprived in the run-up i start spending ahead of pay day. But today, I have a surplus budget which I don’t think I’ve experienced, maybe ever. :o

So, my WHOLE salary is available to me this month and it is a good feeling. It makes me wonder how it might feel to be debt free and REALLY have my whole salary for my own needs. ;)

I am going to age my money again this month, as it really helped to keep me calmer and it made me feel less deprived.

I resisted buying crisps and instead bought cashews. (Less salt and fat) I dry roasted them with tamarin and black sesame seeds for a snack with a glass of wine. :)

Lidl have blueberries, butternut squash, mushrooms and sweet potatoes. All yum! All 59p So, I’ll be back tomorrow. Ald* super six tomorrow too. Pleased and depressed at being so excited by cheap vegetables :):o

A good day for me. I worked well. I kept moving so I stayed on top of the dishes and kitchen :)

Lentil and rocket soup made :)

I threw away a faded tea towel that doesn’t spark joy

I put some old paperwork in a pile to take to work for shredding

As MT always says...happy hump day reader

The 59p each veggies on offer today are: red onions (1) butternut squash (1), green beans,(1) mini peppers,(3) sweet potatoes,(2) mushrooms,(2) pineapple (2) and blueberries (4) potatoes (1)

    Cost? £10.03p

I will be buying them all today and planning my meals around these. This way I will be eating both cheaply and healthily.

Recipes from veggies for menu plan:

Sweet and sour veggies with toasted cashews on quinoa

Red onion omelette, sweet pepper salad and avocado with sweet potato chips

Sweet potato, sweet peppers, red lentil and coconut curry on quinoa

Mackerel, potato rosti with grilled mixed veggies and tahini sauce

Jacket sweet potato, feta, toasted walnuts and garlic green beans

    Butternut squash and lentil soup

Stir fry veggies and walnuts on quinoa with avocado and tahini sauce

    Snacks:

    Pineapple slices/blueberries and nuts

    Breakfasts:
I’m buying blueberries to freeze to use with seeds and raw nuts and soaked oats in yogurt as easy to transport to work for breakfast

Potato rosti, spinach and poached egg

I’m not doing a Oca** shop at all this month. I only need to buy quinoa, yogurt, eggs and pot scourers next week so should be completely within budget with a little leeway to spare

    Lunches
    Soup or leftovers

I'll be back later, just wanted to get my food plan down :)
