I agree with BTD, but I understand if it's too much hassle.

I'm currently baking an attempt at a dish I had in a restaurant recently, mushroom and leek crumble. I hope it's a success, and if it is I'll post the recipe I made up. I had leeks that needed using up anyway.

Thanks Satchmo and BTD :) and I really like the sound of that mushroom and leek crumble :)

I'm going offline for a week as of this post and I will be waving to beanielou through the window on my Scottish travels :j

Lots of cycling today. So much so I’m a bit concerned I might get that horrible inner thigh cramp in the night. I’m going to stretch loads and drink water

I know I’m a new Ald* convert but I went there today for a basic item but took the time to look around. I always buy a moisturiser with an SPF and usually pay about £5, the Ald* one? £1.50. I was pleased to get my loo roll on offer at Ocad* but I can buy 16 for £3.50 at Ald*. I’m not saying I won’t do Ocad* anymore but it really will be less frequently

I’ve stuck to my budget sort of…as I spent £8.40 from next week’s budget but I have shopping delivered that week so I should be okay, so I’ll have £11.60 that week but I should only need fruit and veg

So, lots of MSE travel ideas. Flask? Yep. Food packed for journey? Yep. Will they catch me with expensive water bottles? Nope, I've got my own. Will I be buying expensive magazines? Nope I have a great book I can't wait to read :) If I get a headache will I have to stop at a pharmacy? Nope. I have tablets for possible migraine. Will I be tempted by the trolley and give in to extortionate chocolate? Nope I have some good chocolate already.

I have my saved-up, budgeted for pocket money and my super cheap travel ticket purchased 2 months ago :T

    Take care reader. Back soon

I liked the leek & mushroom crumble, but OH wasn't impressed.... however a) he doesn't like leeks and b) he doesn't like vegetables, lol.

Slice leeks & mushrooms (not too fine for the mushrooms), put in ovenproof dish with a tablespoon of natural yogurt and about 1oz of grated cheese. Make crumble: dice about 2oz of cold butter into a mixing bowl; mix with about 3oz of plain flour and about 2 oz of grated cheese using a fork to combine until the mix resembles breadcrumbs. Sprinkle the crumble mix over the vegetables and bake for about 35-40 minutes until the crumble is nicely browned. Serves 2-3 as a side dish, or makes a nice main course with a salad or broccoli.

Brilliant - I now have a fab vision of SuperDIA on a train with snacks, water, book... and just a little of the lining of her coat showing, a colourful silk with sparkly £ all over it :). The nemesis of all advertising departments :D

:rotfl:well who knows what's under the coat. Maybe it's reversible so that she can turn it into a cape when rushing to the rescue of another new DFW :D

Orange Ena, I would not wear pants over my underpants ;) Definitely Rosa's option suits me better :D
