Thank you MT,, Rosa and Beanielou, your comments about my working an additional job have really helped. :) I have gone with the hours suggested. I am going to request I work one day at the weekend. Excellent as I have inside information and I've been told Sunday is very quiet so I will choose Sunday :) Then I will work three evenings a week on the days I work from home at my primary job, so that will give me extra rest time and a chance to get up later making those days easier :)

I will also have one day free just for me and three evenings too :)

Now all they need to do, now I'm happy with it is GIVE ME THE JOB :D

Watch this space as sometime in May I will either come on this diary doing this :T:T:T:T:T:T:T
    Or, this :(:(:(:(:(:(:(

    3 actions towards my goals

Make a list of 3 possible builders

    Complete job spec response

Meal plan using what I have and minimal shop to make it happen

    Have a good day reader

    Hi DIA

Now that sounds like a doable plan - I particularly like the idea of doing your extra work instead of a commute, that hopefully will make it seem easier.

Do remember that you'll get there anyway though, whatever happens with the job application :)

Such a brilliant point. Either way I will get there in the end. Thanks Rosa :)

Okay, so things are a bit tight AGAIN.

The good news is I changed my work days for next week so I maximise my travel pass and save on fares.

So the plan is to live off what I have and only use my penny jar and money left in my purse —£6, for additional food for the next 10 days and then spend £10 on food until I go to Scotland. Instead of doing a big shop as soon as I get paid I plan to wait until I return.

This is the menu plan for the next 15 days which takes me up to 29th when I will look at my supplies again and do another menu plan.

This plan requires me to buy —raisins —6 eggs —fruit.

    Breakfasts

Quinoa and oat porridge with cashew milk or sheep’s yogurt, seeds or ground almonds

    Snacks

One piece of fruit each morning and a piece of fruit during the day

    Lunches

    Leek potato and bacon soup

Lentil and broccoli soup with gorgonzola cheese

    Lentil, tomato and coriander soup

    Suppers

Fish, chips and peas with tahini sauce (x3)

Mushrooms stuffed with quinoa and gorgonzola and broccoli (x1)

Stuffed mushroom, carrot and raisin salad, red onion, puy lentil and bacon salad (x1)

Red Thai veggies on quinoa (x1)

Cuban black beans, avocado and rice, red onion, carrot and raisin salad (x3)

Black bean and adzuki burgers, sweet potato chips, broccoli and tahini sauce (x2)

Rosemary potatoes, peas, fish and tahini sauce (x2)

Black beans and adzuki burgers, tomato and red onion salad, carrot and raisin salad, avocado, lime wedges and pickles (x2)

    Best bit of my day

Popped into Tesco on my way home and got broccoli, 9 bunches reduced to 8p each and 2 bags of new potatoes reduced to 12p each, that was a good bit of my day, but I didn’t eat today so putting down my bags, having a cup of tea and finally eating was the best bit of my day. Someone once said 'hunger is the best relish' it's true. It is.

How did I do with my 3 actions

    Menu planning? Yup :T

Builder identified? nope so carried forward. :(

    Job spec completed? Yup :T

A good day for me reader. I hope it was a good day for you too

I made soup the other day and it was horrible and I thought I was ‘off’ wet food, but I made the lentil and broccoli soup today and it is lush. I also have stock remaining for my next soup.

I washed and chopped LOADS of broccoli, portioned it up and put some in the freezer for future soup making.

It’s raining so I had to run and bring wet clothes back in…:(

It could be the miserable rain but I had an overwhelming desire for a glass of wine and a bag of crisps and my woollen hot water bottle this evening. Sometimes I go miniature when I really can’t resist an urge for bad food, so thinking… I have a miniature tonic water in the fridge and I could have it with the little bit of brandy I have left from February and go buy a packet of (small) kettle crisps and a Freddo. I could nibble them slowly whilst watching Corry tonight and I’d feel in treat heaven. Hmmmm, it’s an option. :)

I had my bank statement through for my debt. I have updated my signature. In 2 months £1000 has been paid off and £190 in interest

The best bit of my day was seeing how short my bank statement was, just two entries, what I had paid and interest charged :)

Before I started this diary my debt was increasing and I wasn’t that bothered but now I feel impatient and I want the debt gone and this feels so slow, which is illogical because it’s been hanging around for year and years…and I’ve been addressing the problem for a few months…:o

I emailed my train company with a compensation query. Sick of late trains. They can stop being sorry and start paying in cold, hard, cash…

I checked the date I will need to cancel my gym membership and put the date in my diary. I’m going to make the most of it whilst I can, so I’m going to swim on Sunday but also relax in the steam room, something I’ve yet to do…

Feeling lethargic today and don’t really care that my 3 actions are still that —3 actions.

At least we all made it to Friday

    It’s the weekend. Enjoy.

    Hope you've had a nice day :)

Well done on paying off £1000 in 2 months, phenomenal effort. I can totally identify with what you say about having debt hanging around, increasing all the time, then the LBM hits and suddenly we want it gone. At least we've had our LBM's. There are so many people out there who haven't realised that you don't have to live with debt, there are other ways. I think it's seen as acceptable to have some debts (other than mortgage) which is a shame. I'm sure there's also a lot of people who've never had debt, who live within their means. I want to be one of them :)

Thanks Orange Ena. Yes I agree, now I've had my LBM I want it gone! I'll be so pleased when I join the debt free mob, so when you get there keep my place warm :D
