Skidded on ice and damaged car

I have no idea this is what worries me.
But yes it's definitely from my insurers as it gives a link to log on where you need your dob and postcode to see all the documents on their website. Same email they always use/same links and website etc.
I think I'll have to ring them up in a bit. It's bugging me.0 -
for a 2005 2.0L focus i would say you will be lucky to get a 1.5K valuation from your insurance
my guess at the insurance value would be about £900.00 and if they go north of £1000 then i think you will be very lucky
that is why i said after you take off your £550.00 excess there is not much left
Please come back and tell us what the insurance value was and i hope you can prove me wrong
Hey, insurers said repairs would be 3300 so put it as a cat C. Value that they offered me was £2700 or there abouts. Bought the car back for just over £300 (11% of the car value) along with excess my £550, I'll get back just a couple pounds under 1800. Incidentally, more than I paid for the car in the first place. Odd one.
Wishbone was what was wrong, bought one for £40, guys fitting it next week. And also need a new tyre as it's flat now. Here is hoping that's all.
I'm so regretting going through insurance for the sake of £200 ish. Idk why insurance valued the repair work so high. But I can get it fixed now. Hire car goes back Monday. I'll suffer next year.
Just thought I'd pop back to let you know.0
