Unfortunately that is the nature of the internet. Someone asks for advice. 2 people will give useful replies the rest will argue over who has the smallest manhood.

Quality over quantity fella.
I can't speak for others but the reason I post on these forums is because I think that with over 34 years of selling used cars I might have some knowledge which is useful to others.
Read the original post then read the first reply and then tell me how many others after that actually help her. Isn't that the object of these forums? To offer help?
Yes the OP might have been better off calling Audi a premium brand but then name me a luxury brand!0 -

Fair enough, if that's how you would like to play it - but your last post wasn't made with the benefit of your 34 years' experience, was it? It was just a comment on other users' posts.0 -
OP, this is the sort of reaction that you will have to get used to now that you have bought a premium brand car. Like me, you probably couldn't give a flying duck if your A1 shares engines or saliva with a Skoda. I'm guessing you bought the car a) because you can afford to (which will invoke jealous rants) and b) because the car you've chosen makes you 'feel good' - in the same way that any premium item does, be it clothing, technology, food etc.
You will always get the same arguments from those that are jealous - same parts/materials/ingredients etc, not as well made as the 15yr old piece of junk that they own etc.
Don't take any of it to heart, enjoy your car and remember to offer a small hand gesture to anyone you pass on the road that looks like a middle-aged keyboard warrior driving a really !!!! car that only cost them £20 but they can squeeze another 100k miles out of it before it dies.
Also, you are right to feel aggrieved. Yes, things go wrong but you are entitled to expect no problems. A polite letter to Audi UK and the dealer will not do any harm at all, in fact you never know what may come back as a result. Make sure that you praise the dealership for acting quickly to resolve the issue but express your disappointment at your experience with the brand. This will push the right buttons for you.
Or you could just flog it and buy a 1997 Peugeot and probably gain universal acceptance from the illuminati on this forum :T
Probably the best response on here. Thank you for seeing my point and not worrying about whether an Audi is a luxury car or not, who cares! What I care about is that my car has broken after only a month. To the rest of you, I'm going to go enjoy my fuel card and a number of other good will gestures after not taking your advice and complaining to head office. :beer:0 -
True. Based on a couple of weeks being on here.0

I'm happy that the problem has been resolved.
What exactly was replaced and how long did they have the car for, please?0 -
Yeah, you're right. I'm going to go right now and sell our Nissan 370Z, Insignia SRi and Clio 172 and buy an A1.
Good for you - I hope you enjoy your experienceAll matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0
