If necessary, revise accounts before meeting[/STRIKE]
Ring SoG re failed log-in - not urgent
    [STRIKE]Send an email
    Prepare and start cooking lunch
    S&S kitchen
Dust and hoover LR[/STRIKE] - thanks DH
[STRIKE]Friend arrives 10.00 for Trustees' Meeting, lunch and work[/STRIKE]
16.00 Go with DH to horsepiddle for AAA screening (standard procedure in men of his age)
Get diesel, card for DGS2 and milk
Early tea, DH out at 18.00
20.00 Old Wives - remember to take milk
Crash into bed after all that

A good meeting and hearty lunch. Glad I'd only written Unit 1 of 4, as we've rewritten the other three units and changed the emphasis of the course (we're allowed to do that!) - it's much more logical now :)

    Off out with DH now....

Have you tried rubbing the sticking edges with a white candle. often helps :)

Monday - Living / Family Room
Declutter a drawer, shelf or box.

I am just going to make a cuppa then attack a rather large pile of various paperwork.

I also have to rummage in the cupboard to get the meter readings as my 'fixed' runs out at the end of the month and so I need to phone the supplier :(

Kitchen all lovely and Mr T should be here between 4 and 5. Then dinner to make - maybe something easy.

    Welcome Flutterby!

    Happy birthday Crowdpleaser!

Shower room cleaned. First load in WM, two more to do later so they can all be dangled first thing tomorrow when it's supposed to be fine. Dyson won't work because I had it up in the attic and forgot to wash the filter before I put it back on charge a few days ago. Wot A Pity.

[STRIKE]Fresh linen for double and shower room[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Turn the superking around[/STRIKE]
Dyson stairs, airlock and ground floor
Paintwork, [STRIKE]window[/STRIKE] and dusting in the dining room
    [STRIKE] Newel post[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE] Change goldfinch feeder[/STRIKE]
    One hour writing
One hour research on shops etc.

Off to walk the dog, have another cuppa and then do the two hours sitting at my desk.
    Better is good enough.

She's doing well; she loves the cat milk. She doesn't eat as much as she did but seems to be in no pain. My friend seemed to think we ought to run tests and look for treatment but I am disinclined to put a cat one month shy of 18 through that, when she is enjoying life.
I agree with you; the tests are likely to be stressful for her, which in itself wouldn't be good for her. If she's getting enough nutrition in her for her needs, and is happy and pain-free, I'd let well enough alone, tbh.

Great idea re you coming to visit with the cattle prod - maybe you could help me do some decluttering at the same time. I'll hire a skip (or two) for the end of the week shall I!! I'm going to take photos of the clutter and take them when we have a session so they can have some idea of what it's like.
Hey, count me in, will you? :o One time Mr LW tidied a cupboard at work that was a mess, and his bosses commented how ruthless he was with clutter, he said to them "You haven't met my wife....!":D
Seriously though, I'll be with you in spirit on Friday, as will other Flyladies, I'm certain.

Lucky for me, Mr LW has embraced the Valli mantra - "Don't put it down, put it away," We have a system now, if one of us is leaving something out, we tell the other one "I'm leaving that there because *insert reason, such as needing to remember to do something later that involves the item in question* ".

Blokey is coming to replace the kitchen radiator next Monday. More stress :( but it has to be done.

I have a Black Labrador for an overnight stay, so vacuuming will happen tomorrow after she's been picked up. (Not doing it twice) ;) There's a "puddle" of black hair on the carpet where she's been sitting! :rotfl:
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Hi all

Paid stuff done, dog walked, LR hoovered (including the sofa), dusted, de-cobwebbed, window and patio doors cleaned and fire cleaned out. All other rooms carpet swept and various bits of gibble returned to their correct location.

Tired now. Need to go and get ready for my gym class in a minute. Tea for everyone else has been some pasta and leftover chicken chucked in a jar of sauce. Haute cuisine a la Yorkshire Lass. Oh and they also got garlic bread and a bit of salad.
