I failed totally last week but will try again this week, the washing is all up to date and the kitchen is clean & tidy. I've also got a meal plan sorted and everything ready for packups.
I need to keep on top of what's already done and also sort out the living room.

Hester, we do not use the F word here  You say that you've done all the washing, meal-planned, got ready to make up lunches, and your kitchen is clean and tidy. That's a great achievement, and you can concentrate more on the LR when it's kitchen day this week. Try the dot-to-dot method - clearing one small area at a time until they all join up. You don't have to do it all in one day, most of us take months to restore order to our RoD, if we ever get there!

    My list for today:
Ring the Parish Office to check bookings for the Old Wives
Ring the bank re failed log-in
If necessary, revise accounts before meeting
    Ring SoG re failed log-in
    Send an email
    Prepare and start cooking lunch
    S&S kitchen
    Dust and hoover LR
Friend arrives 10.00 for Trustees' Meeting, lunch and work
16.00 Go with DH to horsepiddle for AAA screening (standard procedure in men of his age)
Get diesel, card for DGS2 and milk
Early tea, DH out at 18.00
20.00 Old Wives - remember to take milk
Crash into bed after all that :D

    Best get on then!

(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed x
  • Morning ladies, charity bag out for collection and large bulky item ready to be loaded into the car to drop off at a local charity shop. DW unloaded and reloaded, WM doing its thing. Now to rescue the washing I left on the line last night!

    Hugs all round xx

Iona.. glad you said it too... Hester that F word is not allowed.. you achieved plenty... how many of those things you did do would you have not done without visiting here?? Therefore you succeeded in making a difference, doing something, even if it was just one thing, more than you would normally..

Sad news re the Goblin King.. :( .. Who will remember all these in the music industry today in 40 years?? From the era of legends another has passed, it's such a loss even if he was the creepiest man ever and scared the living daylights out of me.. where would my childhood nightmares have been if it were not for Mr Bowie?

The girls got up super early and have utterly trashed their room.. I am not happy!! They are banished to school with threats that their things will be in the bin when they get home!

Cuppa made and TD on.. that's me done for the day lol

    Morning all. Welcome Amanda.

    I have:

    WUDUPA
Emptied and put out all bins and recycling
Dusted the dusty bits in the LR as per list
    Tidied and dusted the HSL
    Hoovered quickly through.
Walked the dogs dropping prescription at docs on the way
Got the second load in the WM, first on airer
    Dailies

Paid stuff now. I don't expect to be nearly as productive tomorrow as I have a 6.15 start at the paid stuff.

    Have a great day everyone.

  • Mending pile mended apart from Dh work trousers I need to find a zip for.
Friends stall sewn, 30ft long so needed two Bobbins worth to fix that, it's bundled up on the settee for now as there no way I can fold it on my own, Dh will help me tonight.
While machine is out I'm going to do a couple of patchwork squares then clear the ironing basket and make a shepherds pie for tea.

Got S off feeling sick, tummy ache and headache. As he does have lying tendencies I am making it miserable for him - no coming downstairs, nothing nice, just lying in bed. I want him to know that being home when he should be at school is sooooo boring he's much better off with his friends at school.

Just having a cuppa, trying to get hold of Relate and about to start my typing job. Then it'll be ironing.

Sad about David Bowie isn't it - I loved him in the fantasy film Labyrinth years ago with a very young Jennifer Connolly and watched it so many times I knew the words!

ETA: Just got appointment for Friday at 12.30. Feeling sick. Going to be a long week methinks.

    Thanks for the list Bossy!

    Mumof2 - Coping vibes.
    CY - *hugs*
    Amanda - Welcome :D
Hester - there is no f word here ;) That's why I've stuck around so long :rotfl::rotfl:

This week DD and I are in competition to see who can do the most steps (we both have fitbits) so I am on a mission to move as much as possible as she hits 10k steps every day she's in school  Today I'm off to town to run those errands I was going to run last week. I'm not in too much of a rush to get going just yet though as its currently 3C and feels like 1C and I'm walking

This morning I've flung my jeans through the WM & TD (with some dry towels to help speed things up) as I only have 1 pair which is comfy enough for lots of walking. Loosing weight is great, until you end up between sizes and have to select which clothes even more carefully. Received my delivery for work (but I've just put it on the side for now), had a shower, dried the windows upstairs, daily savings tub (need to top it up with the £10 I owe it from over Christmas when I needed change for the carol concert etc), breakfast, fed the dog, lubricated the front door to stop it sticking (but I'm not sure it's worked enough, I may need to find the big tub of petroleum jelly) and got my stuff together to go to town. Now I just need to go :o I'll fly when I get home if I have any energy left.

    Personal:
Errands in town (Bank, B00ts, PC, £land, windowshop :p )
    Returns to Mat.
    Book Dentist appointment
    Change toothbrush heads
Charge headphones (read instructions PROPERLY first) :p
    Fix coat
Demould bathroom, bedrooms, hall (incl front door), livingroom, kitchen :(
    Front door

    Work:
Deal with delivery (just my stuff so can be done tonight)
Email ASM for confirmation of territory (I'm sure I have the other side of the road but I want to check first!)
    Thurs - Collect books
Fri - CO books, Prep C5 books & reprep C4 for recanvassing

Monday - Living / Family Room
    Level 1

Back to basics, grab a couple of bags / boxes and gather everything that doesn't belong in this room.
Declutter a drawer, shelf or box.
    Level 2
    Dust from top to bottom.
    Vac everywhere
    Level 3
Polish mirrors, shine pics / photo frames.
    Wash a window or two.
    Extras
    • Stick a wash on.
    • Wipe any grotty marks near light switches / door handles
I best move myself or town will be heaving again.
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

When cf left he came round drunk at 2am one night and started smashing stuff and screaming in my face... I just, really calmly said 'you have no power over me' ... obviously remembered the line from the film and fell about laughing... he never did it again.. it was one of my finer moments I must say.

Friday will be here before you can blink.. just stay busy and focus on other stuff.. and get those pics done and a journal.. things get lost in time and as you calm down so record it all.. you could do it as an audio rather than written if its easier... I'd possibly record him on a rant as well.. so he can hear what he sounds like and the stuff he says.

Letter from the quack saying I have a UTI... no shi* Sherlock!! Hi, I'm the obvious... waste of paper or what?
