    Morning all :)

I'm in again this week, although for me the focus today has to be the kitchen .... I made marmalade in there last night, finishing at 11pm and it currently looks like a bomb has gone off! On the upside, we have enough marmalade to keep us going for the year :)

Monday - Living / Family Room
    Level 1

Back to basics, grab a couple of bags / boxes and gather everything that doesn't belong in this room.
Declutter a drawer, shelf or box.
    Level 2
    Dust from top to bottom.
Vac everywhere, use the tools to get between those sofa seat pads ;) only moving furniture if you can do so safely.
    Level 3
Polish mirrors, shine pics / photo frames.
    Wash a window or two.
    Extras
    • Stick a wash on.
    • Replace any lightbulbs needed (Without splitting your hand open...)
    • Wipe any grotty marks near light switches / door handles
    Own list for this week:

Shred paper which is already in pile to be shredded
    HHI
Sort out expired ISA (last October!)
Phone utility provider and find out why they won't let me switch to another supplier ..
Find out when DH's car insurance expires (Think it's March)
Paperwork ... I seem to have piles of it everywhere, they're under control piles (almost), but I'd like to eradicate them further. Doing some filing would probably help!
Unpack the final 4 boxes in the house

Well.. that's 2 rooms reasonable.. both vacuumed and the hallway.. 3rd load of laundry in, airer emptied and refilled, binbag filled with rubbish.. I have filled half a wheelie bin!! Laundry collected from about the house, TD on 3rd load.

I need to find a storage box for my loose stash of yarn in this room.. it was in a cardboard box which has massively collapsed.

I've quit early because I need to eat before the nursery run before I fade away.

so you have a reprieve until 12:30ish.. so I suggest you get prepared.. I have wiping woodwork planned if my leg can cope.. it is rather numb yet tingly at the moment.. feels a bit strange actually.

Thanks Natty and Bossy for the lists. Much appreciated.
Hi ladies, I new to the flylady thread hope you dont mind me joining in. Im not very disciplined with a daily housework routine hopefully your thread will keep me on track :)

    Welcome Amanda!

Hi Hester, just wanted to echo everyone else about the the f- word and flying. If you're like me anything you do, anything at all, is a massive improvement on the olden days before I joined the thread. Don't forget, as it says in the first post - it took a while for your place to get to where it is, and it'll take a while to get it to where you want it to be. I find doing one thing on the list each day makes a massive change really quickly, but everything you do, whatever it is, helps. I read your blog sometimes, and it's hardly surprising you haven't got any spare time to flit around with a duster!

Mumof2, when things were really bad here a long time ago, Relate made saving the relationship a real possibility and I can't speak highly enough of them. You, the kids and Whizz have to be able to live and breathe in the space you all share with him. (((Hugs)))

CY, I hope you get a really quick, really simple answer to feeling grotty. (((Hugs)))

Piggers, *healing* vibes for your UTI. I'm going to be joining you at 12.30 for at least an hour to get the urgent stuff done here. Today's listy:

Fresh linen for double and shower room
    Turn the superking around
Dyson stairs, airlock and ground floor
Paintwork, window and dusting in the dining room
    Newel post
    Change goldfinch feeder
    One hour writing
One hour research on shops etc.
    Better is good enough.
  • Hello everyone

Just on lunch at work, posting my list for this evening. Have eaten two paperwork frogs already. This morning was all going well for a Monday. Children all dressed in time etc, I was quite relaxed, when dd1 came in soaking wet (fully dressed) saying dd2 had pushed past her in the bathroom and she had fallen into the (full) bath. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

    Daily stuff (wm already done)
    Get dog food
    Walk dog
Clear things that don't belong from LR
    Dust LR
Hoover LR including under sofa cushions
    Mop LR
Clean windows in LR if required.

Hugs to all that want or need them. Welcome to any new joiners, and well done for all that everyone has achieved this last week. X

Managed to miss gym class this morning which isn't a good start to my fit/lose bulges regime. However I did walk at top speed to the village PO to buy and send a birthday card I'd forgotten to get and post. I know it's only 20 mins but it was a jolly fast walk (rather worrying how hot I got).

Have decided to resume what I started last year and make a pledge that every time I walk into another room I will put away 1 item from the 'new' room that is in the wrong place. Doing well so far.

Have spent most of the morning on the report, so not much ticked off yet although it will certainly be finished today.

Have emailed a couple of students to make appointments.

    Filled bird feeder.

Also sad about David Bowie, definitely part of my teenage years and beyond. But great that some food is being got through to those poor people in Syria at last.

    Lunch next.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
