  • Good afternoon

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I feel like I'm more than on top of things today, must be the sunshine that keeps peeking through ;)

Dog has also been walked and bathed as we got a bit wet. Sat down for lunch and now I need to move again to put the second washing load into the TD and HHI, looks like I may be 'finished' early today!

Gilly - thank you for your monthly meal plan, there's a few in there we haven't had for a while. Do you have a recipe for the Kung Po meatballs by any chance? They sound yummy :)

Hope everyone is having a good day x

Huge progress in that J has just taken me to the tip - we took an old broken office chair, an old ironing board and 2 worn out mops. May not seem like much but to me that's real progress AND he bought me a pub lunch. :T:A:j

Apart from that I've walked Whiz, done a load of washing and half of my ironing pile. Will go into the kitchen later on and do what I can as long as I don't get in J's way as he's working from home today (had lovely new company car delivered).

    Hugs to all x

Remembered to renew library books on line last night - oh dear, I'm used to the mobile library where they stamp your book and don't charge fines.....yep, the electronic scanner thing at the library doesn't stamp dates (OK I did have a receipt with the date on, which I lost) and now I owe them money......have written renewal date in a book.

After last week's shenanigans about the zumba class being reduced to 45 mins, I made a supreme effort and went to the 30 min Insanity class before zumba just to make the journey worth while.

Came home via A1d1 and have never spent so much there; mind you, I bought a couple of shirt/coat things for gardening and general running around. I will now spend ages unpacking and finding homes for things. Easy you say - but having looked at my empty, filthy fridge, I'm going to take the opportunity to clean it before I put more food in it. Ditto the tupperware boxes we use for cereal. Immersion heater on as we speak.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
