If we vote for Brexit what happens

Nobody likes us for leaving. They don't want us to succeed outside the EU so looks to me like a hard brexit.
A thought occurs to me. With the EU in such a mess I wonder how many countries secretly envy us for escaping.
I think the problem is that there are large numbers of people who do not have access to all the information adopting an entrenched position.
To me the solution is more likely if there are discussions held in good faith. That means the EU will lose out if it says we only want this or UK can go to hell. It also means that UK will lose out if we only want something else and tell the EU they can go to hell unless we get it.
They need to explore the negotiating space and decide if there is something that can work for both.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

You believe that May can stop other UK political parties discussing it?Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

Were you not aware that average house prices have increased by 8%, 7% and 5% over the last three years? Almost everyone who bought 3 years ago would be able to sell today for a profit. I know that's not what the HPC crowd want to hear but it is what it is...
The problem with your theory is that prices are made at the margins, on actual sales, just takes one price dropper in your street to spoil the HPI party.0 -

You mean like the 100,000 property sellers who found a buyer in July 2016, which are the most recent month's figures available? Yes, it's obviously impossible to find a buyer in the current climate! :rotfl:Crashy_Time wrote: »meaning prices can`t drop with the fantasy of automatic profit guaranteed!
Very few if anyone here has said "price's can't drop", if anything most people have pointed out that prices almost certainly will drop on occasion due to local, national and/or international events.
The key point though is that all we will ever see are small corrections to the market and there is absolutely no chance of your 50%+ crash prediction ever coming true.Crashy_Time wrote: »The problem with your theory
The problem with your theory is that it's been proven to be wrong for well over a decade. Fundamentally, demand is greater than supply and as a result house prices over any significant time frame are only going one way.Every generation blames the one before...

.
People in Northern Ireland thought that as well, but it happened, and prices have more or since flat lined since. The market here in 2007 was similar to that in many parts of England at the minute (i.e. prices dramatically out of line with wages and speculation rampant). Not saying that falls of this magnitude are likely but to say they are impossible is folly...

8530 less than a year ago, a drop of 8.3%.
We're also looking at offers accepted in March and April 2016, completing in July.
We need to wait until Christmas to see whether houses are selling today. So it's entirely possible that it is impossible to find a buyer on 19th September 2016 because there are no statistics available yet.
A drop of 8.3% is like saying you need 11 viewers before getting an offer, instead of the 10 you might have needed 12 months before.0 -
Tim Farron on Daily Politics just now spent about 10minutes solid repeating how much he "completely respects" the decision of the British people, before going on to demonstrate that he doesn't respect the decision in the slightest & does not believe in democracy.
What a joke the Libdems have become. In a time when a lot of the other parties are in disarray they had a golden opportunity to grab votes but instead have gone from bad to worse. Do they really think trying to overturn the referendum result will win them votes? Morons.0 -

I didn't watch it as I have to work and generate taxes to pay for Clapton's prescriptions, but I'm pretty sure Farron didn't call for another in/out vote?Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0
