PM should seek parliamentary approval over article 50, says Lords committee
Theresa May should not trigger article 50 alone – formally starting the UK’s exit from the European Union – without “explicit parliamentary approval”, a parliamentary committee has warned.
In a direct challenge to Downing Street’s authority over Brexit, the House of Lords constitution committee has published a report declaring that it would be “constitutionally inappropriate” for the prime minister to act on an advisory referendum without referring back to parliament.

Sounds reasonable. After all, we still live under a parliamentary democracy and the referendum was merely advisory. I like democracy. :)
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

Hmmm. I wonder whether the House of Lords would have troubled themselves to produce a report if Remain had won. Somehow I doubt it.

When it suits you and that's not democracy. Democracy is the will of the people. The people have spoken.

Why would they publish a report advocating approval for doing nothing if that's what the majority wanted to do?

The people have voted in a non-legally binding advisory referendum. It's not that complicated.

You wouldn't need to. It was known the result wasn't binding before the referendum.

Parliament was/ is sovereign - not the people.

Absolute tosh. Perhaps you'd like to explain what the referendum was for,if it's not binding? Your just another loser who can't accept the fact you lost.
