Glasgowdan - go and find where I said comments like that making sure you link it to this thread.

You are making things up again. SNP way of thinking is spreading across Scotland.....

"You live in a fantasy world. The fantasy world of SNP." - I don't know what you think my way of thinking is? Can you link to quotes where I have indicated I live in a fantasy SNP land? I've never voted for them in my life.

    "Posh areas in Scotland??? "

"I want Scotland to leave to see if they could survive in the current economic climate. I used to like Scotland but my opinion has changed because of SNP." - You know we're British don't you? SNP are just one of the political parties.

Anyway, I, and many others, have lost interest in the agendas that Crashy Legend keeps forcing on this forum, and regularly dragging other discussions off topic. Too much hot air, the ultimate point of which has totally been lost. I couldn't even say what it is that you hope to achieve? What's the desired end game? Do you want to be able to buy your £160k terraced house for £130k one day? Is that such a huge part of life? I'm just confused, bored and at the same time fascinated at the persistence of some!

Maybe you just dislike the SNP... why not just say so? Because living in Scotland can be as good as anywhere in the UK. I've got it lucky and I appreciate my life, part time work, comfy standard of living, generally positive about pretty much everything in life. 2 weeks until the keys to the new house too, very excited!

I have seen some overpriced houses being reduced lately whereas they may have got into a bidding war. August is a slow month, as always there are loads of factors at play.

Life's too fun to sit around waiting for a cheaper home. My toddler and baby-to-be live in the day and I want them to feel the security of a good home. Not to mention that the amount of work we have to do on the place will see the value rise significantly more.

Crashytime is right about the financial markets. Take pensions for example, they are changing from full salary to average salary to stock market linked.

I know you have a different opinion Glasgowdan, if this thread offends you f do not post. You remind me of fishing, you seem to get caught on someone else's rod!

But the thread is about the housing market, not the financial markets.

Housing market is linked to financial markets. Stock market crashes so does house prices.

Why are you all still debating recession?

I thought I'd pointed out to you that you need far more time to pass and many more data points before you can scream recession in peoples (internet) faces.

Listen to the expert folks... oh wait.

Surely its totally desirable that people should have the opportunity to work in their own countries.

Agreed, but it's more important that they have a choice to work at all. It's also good for the UK if they work here.

But what is negative for you, isn't necessarily negative for the rest of us

So it's better for everyone else if other countries build up their engineering and tax base rather than the UK?
in the vague hope that everyone who voted Leave is suddenly going to change their minds....they're not...

As most came to their decision in a factual void, no, I don't expect facts to change their "thinking" one little bit. The UK and the iceberg are now on a collision course and I'm not hanging around when it comes to getting into a lifeboat. Which brings us to ....
I guess you need to move your business from the UK???

Already happening. Again, we're lucky in that we can employ people pretty much anywhere in the world and knit them into one team, but not all companies or workers are in that position.
