Can someone please explain to me (in simple terms please as I'm obviously one of them dumb foreigners) why it seems that the UK is trying to delay kickstarting the Article 50 process?
because
-we have no PM to start the negotiations
-a couple of months isn't important
-gives time for foreigners here to apply for UK citizenship (we are a very generous nation and wish no harm to anyone0 -
The EU has decided we've already quit.

I agree that the Remain campaign was a lost opportunity. In my view, for reason over emotion, misinformation and xenophobia. Combatting nonsense with nonsense not a good strategy.
But then I work for an SME company which, like many SME companies, has benefitted greatly from being in the EU and will suffer from not being in it.
Hey, what about national pride? Yes! In.... er, what again? Personally, I used to be proud of being part of today's world rather than harking back to some non-existent glory days. King Canute keeps coming to my mind today.
So long and hope we will all be rightly proud of the forthcoming British (English?) recession.0 -

We're still members. It's a little rude meeting and not inviting us.
All that money we've given them over the years too. Such ingratitude.
I can see your point, but if you tell someone you no longer want to play with them, why would they bother to invite you to their next playdate? You don't want anything to do with them, right? Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
I have said nothing of the sort. I have no advice to give you and I wouldn't expect you to take any notice if I did.
I'm not going to bother to find your post damning the people of UK because they had the cheek to have a democratic vote on their own future; but if you have had a change of heart and now wish us well for whatever the future brings, I will graciously accept your good wishes.0
