if we vote ourselves into splendid isolation

Which splendidly isolated prospering nations do you most pity?

    Australia?
    NZ?
    Singapore?
    S Korea?
    Japan?
    Canada?
Norway (top of global happiness index)
    USA
    China

Poor sods, according to remain logic they suffer a distinct lack of relevance and ability.

Oh hang-on, Australia for example sits at all the global environmental bodies......how can this be????????
Oh noooooo - it also has a security sharing deal with the EU

'Today, on behalf of the EU and Australia, we agreed to move our relationship to a new strategic level by officially concluding the negotiations for the EU Australia Framework Agreement.'

    QUESTION FOR EVERYONE;

Give me your top three 'isolated' prospering nations, and tell me about the public unrest that results from this isolation.

Nick Clegg and co tell us 'global issues know no boundaries'.

How then does little Singapore manage sit on various global environmental panels? Clegg says only by being in the EU can we have relevance and input, make a difference.

I remember you posting similar tripe regarding Scottish Independence. The 'great human journey' and 'winds of change' and such.
You do make me laugh though, Conrad, I'll give you that. :rotfl:

It's never those saying 'what's wrong with caves' that progress the journey.

It would be easier for me to succumb to the comfort blanket of familiarity, nice n simple, yocal local thinking, but sometimes one has to grasp new opportunity.

if we vote out we will need to apply for visa's to travel in Europe and the clientele that appear on the Jeremy Kyle show will have fewer excuses as to why they cant find jobs!

Very disappointingly whilst I have visited loads of countries outside the EU I don't have a lot of visas stamped in my passport....

Millions of Brits travel to Turkey, Florida etc, what's the problem? Surely the future of Britain is of greater importance than banalities like this.

Furthermore plenty of non EU citizens live in the EU quite happily. This idea the world will end if we trade with the EU but not accept their political oversight, is so funny

    There is no problem.
The poster's point was you'll need a visa.
Last time I've been to Turkey I paid £15-odd for a visa. Equally, I paid $14 for an ESTA.

With all those millions of Brits travelling to Turkey and Florida, all that money we're going to save leaving the EU will be quickly spent. :rotfl:
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

The fact is if we vote to stay, things will stay the same except the EU may be better because of unintended consequences.
    ...

Nothing has "stayed the same" when it comes to the EU.

The complete opposite has been true in the last couple of decades.

The Euro; EU expansion; new EU regulations. It's all been about change.

Now, you might agree with this change, but that's your choice.

To survive and maybe prosper, I think the EU will have to change even more. Things like Schengen and the Dublin agreement are not working, and there is already talk of their replacements.
