I am afraid that whatever proof is presented to you, you will still believe otherwise and that is fine.
Hehe. Not so long ago Jock was claiming India was the third largest inward investor into the UK.
Confronted with facts and figures, he went into his usual squirming, twisting and squabbling bonanza and I fully expect him to do so on this occasion again. :)

    Good post by the way.
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

    Good post by the way.
Nothing useful to add other that attempted agitation?
    Quelle surprise.

I do not wish to revisit past posts but despite your selective wording I was in fact correct re: India as these clearly say:
    http://www.thehindu.com/business/india-emerges-as-third-largest-fdi-source-for-uk/article7347305.ece

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-34787765

    http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/business/india-business/India-becomes-3rd-largest-source-of-FDI-into-UK-as-investments-increase-65-in-2015-Report/articleshow/52042011.cms

    Now choose another to agitate.
I will not be further drawn by your facile comments.

I don't see anyone deny that. We know it's in decline - because product development is lengthy and it's expensive plus returns aren't as vast as they used to be. That's a global thing though, not just here.

It seems that you have not learned the lessons of a failed "Project Fear" campaign although sadly you are not alone in that.

This has nothing to do with Project Fear - as the pharma situation is not Brexit related (been going on for a while). Move of agencies is collateral and would have happened even if the UK was the biggest market. Keeping an EU agency in a non-EU country makes no sense.

PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT IN EUROPE
    EFPIA 2014 (€ million) Germany 5,813 United Kingdom 4,868
    EFPIA 2005 (€ million) Germany 4,065 United Kingdom 4,838

    PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTION
    EFPIA 2014 (€ million) Germany 30,401 United Kingdom 17,483
    EFPIA 2005 (€ million) Germany 22,653 United Kingdom 22,935

PHARMACEUTICAL MARKET VALUE (at ex–factory prices)

Source? Plus that is one EU country, not "other EU countries" plural. Nice work though, keep it up.

Does help when companies are on the acquisition trail. Bayer has bought Monsanto since then. In the UK we only sell our companies.

There seems to be debate as to whether it's true.

I like the way they explain it as being like Moore's Law in reverse.

What are your views on a non-major EU country getting the opportunity as posted earlier?

BTW, the UK equivalent of the EU drugs/medicines agency has been discussed before in these forums.
We already have our own regulation.
    https://www.gov.uk/government/news/welcome-to-our-new-mhra-website

Highly unlikely as I have read (no link) that the EU will choose a country that will be attractive to the skilled workers they will have to recruit or relocate. In addition good infrastructure and ancillary pharma Company's
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

    Where has the UK split?

When the United Nations started there were about 50 countries. Now almost 200. The trend is towards a split.

Brexit will be as helpful as a hedgehog hen-do in a balloon factory.
Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.
