Despite the 'ground up revolution' want and get remain two very different things. A very British revolution - a shuffling of the elites that's all.
The elites who have been deposed are hardly complaining. Cameron's getting the best part of £100k to speak in Davos and is maneuvering to head NATO.:)
looks a misery too, know wonder hes getting so much too speak to him“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”

Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen said on Tuesday that Denmark is ready to cooperate with the UK in negotiating a new free trade agreement with the EU.
The Danish PM’s remarks came after British Prime Minister Theresa May gave a much-anticipated speech in which she advocated for a so-called ‘hard’ Brexit – a clean break from the EU and not a “half-in, half-out” model.
“If the UK wants to completely pull out and have a proper trade agreement, then we need to look at it. From a Danish perspective, we want to enter into this constructively,” Rasmussen said after May’s speech.
“We have an enormous interest in cooperating with the UK on trade, combating terror and education in one another’s countries,” the Danish PM added.
Danish opposition leader Mette Frederiksen of the Social Democrats also said it was in Denmark’s best interests to “remain as close [to the UK] as possible”.
The tone in Denmark was decidedly warmed than that in France, where the nation's finance minister accused the British government of "improvising" its handling of Brexit and "flip-flopping".0 -

Ah.
As opposed to .............. well, Jean-Claude Juncker who is currently being investigated by the EU for tax avoidance issues you mean?
Or how about Donald Tusk whose own country no longer want him as EU Council President?0 -

Even the most self-serving can do stuff that inadvertantly helps the common people, but that doesn't mean it's any more than a happy coincidence. Be under no illusion that the Tories care about you unless you're a relative/country club member/donor.
I find that most people of whatever 'class', education, political view, gender, sexual orientation, race and religion are decent, generous minded people wishing good for others.
I don't share your view, that people that simply disagree politically with you therefore lack generousity, charity and have a wish to do go harm to others.
It's unlikley that I will change you mind from the your comic view of 'evil' child eating tories.
However, the issue was whether you support the principle and practice of making the number of voters per constituency roughly the same.0 -
we will gain the benefits of allowing tariff free /reduced imports so reducing our costs at source
EU employment rules don't seem to be doing a lot for the youth unemployment in Greece, Spain, Italy etc
but fundamentally you just don't like democracy or trust the British voters.0 -
We are already fully aligned and trading freely plus are currently worth 10x more in trade to the EU than Canada is
As I said from day one, all sorts of tin pot nations have free, or acceptably free trade with the EU. We probably will0 -
I'm all for systems that are fairer, but lets be honest here; these changes are only being implemented because it favours the Tories.
But then I'd be all for a better system than our constituency first past the post system.
It only favours the Tories in the sense that it restores the balance from one which basically gives Labour a 25 seat advantage.0 -
So to translate........... I don't have an effing clue! We are a tin pot nation now....you are just so wrapped up in your Rule Britannia, Empire prejudices you can't see it! You have no idea what is going to happen.....it's just whistling in the wind .....it'll all be alright on the night type stuff. I don't really care that much.....I'm about to retire on a final salary pension....it's the next generation that'll suffer ...their world will become a nastier, more intolerant, inward looking place! I could be wrong .....we'll see.
Given your assumed age regarding your retirement statement above, your bilious description is quite astounding.
This "tin pot nation" was the fastest-growing G7 nation in 2016 and looks to be heading that way this year too.
Number 5 in GDP world ranking despite being #22 by population.
That is some "tin pot".
The only way that "their world will become a nastier, more intolerant, inward looking place" as you so eloquently put it is if intolerance and bigotry such as demonstrated in some of the posts in these forums is taken to heart by a majority which - very fortunately - so far seems unlikely, thanks to a sensible majority if not supporting then at least accepting Brexit.
It is quite evident that the whole world is going through a period of immense change.
Since the EU is obviously not prepared to adapt and change, the UK must give itself the best possible opportunities and these opportunities are certainly not to be found inside a greedy, corrupt, idealistic and bureaucratic trading bloc.0
