If we vote for Brexit what happens

An argument to use on the doorstep, perhaps. Maybe a Brexit supporter can explain the difference?
SPOT the DIFFERENCE
1979
51.6% of Scottish voters support Scottish devolution in a referendum, but are told by the Tory government this is 'insufficient', 'inconclusive' and not binding. Result: no change.
2016
51.9% of British voters support Leaving the EU in a referendum. The Tory government says this is 'decisive', 'the will of the people' and must be respected. Not even Parliament should be allowed a say.
Can someone please explain why things are so different today than back then?💙💛 💔0 -
who would you want to define the professional standards
who would you wish to determin innocence or guilt
who would you want to determine the penalty
I'd hope it could be self regulating like any other trade body (CSA, SRA, etc). Failing that, some goverment/legal guidelines would be fine, just like are enacted on many trades.and just to confirm it would be ok if it were a local newspaper or an online blogg or on the radio or tv or if said by a politician?
Again, not interested in hampering the press with genuine messages, just against inflammatory rage-bait that causes direct harm to people (like the 4 people singled out). I'm hoping at least the Fencer sues them for harassment.0 -
It appears Holland is close to calling a referendum on CETA.
Rebellion is spreading.

you're probably on my ignore list.0 -

Leave were up against the entire Govt, all 3 main parties, the entire establishment, from Church to IMF, BOE to Obama, and still Remain lost.
By constituency I believe it was 68.8% for Leave but I keep hearing talking heads in the media saying 75%.
Now remember the Govt got the Treasury to give now discredited projections to try get us to remain, so Leave really were up against it.
Massive turn-out.
In a re-run people would know next time project fear was way over the top whereas Leave has an optimistic confident message, AND GOVT would next time be for Leave
I would suggest without the massive advantages the Remain establishment enjoyed last time, the vote for leave would be over whelming0 -

But consider the huge number of claims we get calling for more spending, and imagine what we can do with the net daily EU club fee, which I understand is £28 million....
That is a vast sum of money and I sincerely believe trade will not fall, not a bit, and if anything we will prosper really well given the huge opportunities.
It's very easy to get down and feel trade will somehow stop, but in the round it just wont. There will not come a day a girl in France suddenly wont download the latest UK Grime album , and Europeans in core nations simply would not tolerate leaders promising trade harming measures.
There will be a fudge, we will be seen to have had a slapped wrist, life will go on
The EU would grind to halt without our deep capital markets, orders of magnitude bigger than the EU financial markets put together
No one wins from a trade war and the EU has enough problems as it is
Ok back to historic inflation norms - we coped before! But the prize is rebalancing the economy, good for all in the long run and remember when free of the Customs Union we can import things like textiles at lower prices from non EU0 -

Holland is not close to calling a referendum.
There is a petition going to have it debated in parliament.
You can sign it here if you want to : https://ttip-referendum.nl/
That's all.
Sorry, no rebellion.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

You've clearly avoided the question, as you seem to do often, because you either don't have or don't like the answers.💙💛 💔0 -
Ok Conrad you are right. We will cope. Sadly, in a gradually declining Nation, is obviously the fear of us remainers.
We do have to get on with it, whatever "it" is. Absolutely no point in my side gloating over any current confirmation of our views. We will all be going down in the same ship, won't we. Unless those of us who can, do decide to use recently obtained Irish Passports. (Highly unlikely in my case, I should add. Too old, and set in my ways.)0 -

in many trades people lose their livelihood : is this what you envisageAnyone speaking from a position of authority, in an official capacity, as a member of the press/parliament/civil service, should be held to a higher standard of conduct than the layman talking unofficially on a message board or pub.
So how you you think that McDonnell (MP & now shadow chancellor) saying that he would like to have killed Thatcher and then adding 'just joking' would be considered?Again, not interested in hampering the press with genuine messages, just against inflammatory rage-bait that causes direct harm to people (like the 4 people singled out). Would it have been alright if the same had been said about the judges in the cases of Birminghm 6 or Tottenham 3 or were they only doing their job0
