Every one of the people named and shamed suffered a torrent of abuse. Gina Miller has been threatened with violence, rape and murder, if you really can't see why inciting this is wrong, or think that the Mail didn't know this would happen, you are either almost unbelievably naive or you need to think about life.
It should be argued against and opinions changed, not legislated or prosecuted against.
That is (or should be) one of the pillars of truly liberal western democracy.
And you'll forgive me if I don't take your advice on my views, I'm not the one spewing vitriol towards arbitrary social groups all over this forum.
As I said previously, I respect their right to say it, I openly condemn the proposal to silence dissenting voices.0 -
Almost the entire BBC Radio 4 comedy celeb stable are left wing, and for decades casually describe Tories as nasty baby eating, disabled kicking, swivel eyed loons that hate the poor
But that's ok.........
Lets remember it's Momentum types that have toxic anti Semitic views and spit on red Tories, threaten them with rape and worse.
Tories just quietly go about their business, you don't hear of Conservative party members spitting on delegates and making threats in HUGE number0 -
The press has a duty to show some consideration and avoid posting such inciteful comments. Some of you feel that nothing was done wrong, that's fair enough, I don't think we're going to go anywhere but circles on that.You mean like this sort of hate speech, standard slurring by arrogant lefties, people have endured for 3 decades;
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/nov/07/bond-traders-trots-mumsnet-left-centre-farages-mob
”. Nigel Farage will mobilise 100,000 racists and xenophobes to intimidate the court"
That article doesn't brand anyone as "Enemies of the people", a very... historic and worrying term. Nor are the comments full of raving bigots spewing hate speech; in fact most that I skimmed through were quite reasonably talking about why NF is so popular.0 -

several ladies labour MPs have been similarly threathened for not supporting Corbyn: your condemnation of momentum and Corbyn supporters has been strangly quiet
Maybe you hold rich investment brokers in higher regard than female labour MPs and in greater need of your protection0 -

Because whilst it's obviously hyperbole, it's not that inaccurate. Even PM May has said she wan'ts the Tories to no longer be seen as the "Nasty party". Since the last PM was part of a club that allegedly required the burning of a £50 note in front of a homeless person, and their rampaging cuts on any sort of social care, you'd be hard pressed to claim that they didn't hate the poor.0 -

Are you blind? Read the top 50 comments below the article, lefties themselves are furious this Corbyn journalist has once again slurred an entire group as racists and xenophobes.
Jeeze if you are this unable to consider the full facts, I've really go my work cut out. Read the comments in order of 'Recommendations'0 -
The Daily Mail were intending to invoke a reaction towards the hate end of the indignation scale. The article was potentially libellous (are the judges enemies of the people?) but they calculated that none of the judges will take action.
It was also homophobic seeming to find relevance in one of the judges being openly gay. To save their shame they've now removed this reference.
I'm disappointed in myself that I even gave them a page view but I genuinely pity anyone who pays to buy a copy.0 -
U.K. Factory Output Surges as Brexit Pound Impact DownplayedU.K. manufacturing surged the most in five months in September, led by repair and maintenance of transport equipment including ships and machinery.
The advance of 0.6 percent, exceeding forecasts for a 0.4 percent increase, indicates some strength in factories at the end of the third quarter. Still, weakness at the start of the period meant that manufacturing dropped 0.9 percent over the three months.Industrial production falls 0.4% on oil, gas extraction

I don't condone that either, but I don't see any of that being incited in a national newspaper, am I wrong?0 -

Yeah, some people have taken offense to the terminology but the conversation is pretty amicable. Try reading the DM article about the judges ruling and see if you can claim the same thing with a straight face.0
